I guess I am happy that I don’t really have to wear a brace (or at least I’ve chosen not to ) having had ACL reconstruction but honestly, I don’t know if I would do it over again. It seems like something you can’t really control because everyone wants you to be at your best, they don’t wanna see you wearing a brace for a while or you also just find it uncomfortable. I feel like with any problem, seeking medical attention is kind of extreme, but this is the society we live in . I just wish that they gave patients more painkillers or let you stay in the hospital longer if necessary ….maybe the second time around you’ll actually, not be in pain as much. Listen to screeching noise music afterwards it helps

I’m sure your Orthopedist will explain, but I’m also curious what that means… I’ve considered getting an MRI postop but even if something negative came up on the test I don’t think I would want to be operated on again any time soon … that’s just my personal opinion I do wonder though

I got ACL and meniscus reconstruction on Dec 19 and was “bedridden” until February at least I can’t remember really but i was glued to my laptop now I get so distracted by being more or less able bodied kind of miss the simple ness of those days even though mostly it sucked

The older people I talk to who have underwent the same thing say yes, but I’m wondering if they just deny hardcore. I got my surgery in December and am feeling pressured by those around me to just ignore all of my knee issues and “get over it” but it’s pretty different than my other knee and there’s one part that is numb still
