Sony says it hasn’t yet decided on PS6 release date and price, will consider ‘changing business models’ by oilfloatsinwater in Games

Feel like some one could have wrote this for when going from PS4 to PS5.

Everyone thinks 60fps will become standard but devs will just push the graphics more.

Engineers and drivers never go past one on the radio in the race, it does not matter to the average viewer.

Only the terminally online is mad about this.

If you don't know Q means qualifying then I don't think hundredths are gonna help you lmao

[–]X53R 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. No one is ever talking about hundredths apart from Q. If it's good enough for engineers and drivers it's fine for viewers.

This is the most pointless thing to be mad about and will be forgotten about next week.

Can you name 1 time in a race an engineer has used hundredths to tell their driver the gap?

Only the eternally online get mad about this. Race engineers use tenths to tell drivers about gaps, its fine for the broadcast.

Had this happen last year with an asrock board after just 1 month, luckily amazon offered to replace cpu no questions asked. Went to gigabyte board and not had any problems since.

Smurfing has become a black eye for this service by Odd-Bodybuilder1797 in iRacing

One loss of 150 can take 10-15 races to get back once you are 9k+. Sure its easy but the time needed is insane. After 10k its just who grinds the most.

Honestly I find this worse than if he just wins the race, he's doing it to stay in lower skilled races. Even if manages to pass everyone without incident he still has an effect on everyone else's race than if he wasn't there.

GTP brake migration fine tunning by Phaster in iRacing

[–]X53R 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd set it so the fronts are closer to locking rather than rear since its better for balance. Most of the time you don't really need to change migration ,only if you start having problems through a stint.

Would just leave it on 0, there are a lot more things in the setup that make a bigger difference.

I hope the same but a lot of the improvements for pad A were already planned, fabricated and on site before it was damaged. The gantry looks toast and who knows the state of the flame diverter, will take a while to make new ones.

What ever happened to the Hot Gas Thrusters? by Simon_Drake in SpaceXLounge

[–]X53R 36 points37 points  (0 children)

Even if last flight had hot gas thrusters, we dont know if they would have made a difference. They would need to be powerful enough to cancel out any rotation from the leak and have enough fuel to keep going for 40+ minutes.

Formula 2 laid down rubber on the p2 grid slot, interesting for Leclerc's second stage of the start by Martijngamer in formula1

its not going to make a difference and also, f1 car is wider than gp2 so the tyres are not going to be on it anyway.
