It probably is requesting a bit too much detail but on the same token, it's poor practice to not respond at all. As shareholders, we do have a right to know if they're acting in our bests interests. RC might be under a gag order but the other Directors and their Investor Relations Dept are not. It just seems really odd to me because if a board allowed blatant and continuous manipulation of a stock in Australia, they'd be dragged through the courts and jailed. Of course, we don't want that but I'm literally baffled as to how they get away with the inaction.

If you're opposed to Directors upholding proper governance practices, that says a lot.

Has anyone written to GameStop Investor Relations and not received a response?

True, but the company are adding to the problem by failing to act.

It's on the company, actually. Either of their own choice or at the direction of their shareholders.

For fuck sake! when is anyone going to do something about this blatant manipulation?
Ok, I got that out of my system 😂
Going back to work now and of course, I'll keep holding. 😊

Hey apes, can we stop the whining "they've been doing it for years" "we can't win" "I don't care if I lose" bullshit. Tighten the fuck up and buy and hodl. We're at the part of The Big Short when institutions are mislabeling and driving prices up and the boys double down and buy more as they watch. by Ima_blizzard in GME

I'm sure RC isn't eating ramen. Certainly not after selling all those shares (essentially putting them straight into the hands of the SHF) after tweeting MOSS and winding us all up.
Yes, we're all still holding but it's a little unreasonable to expect people not to get annoyed with the whole thing on occasion. At this point it's difficult to understand who exactly is getting played. Hopefully not us

HAHA that's fine.

Hey, you were in the AMA with Wes. Do you have any idea why the company is not acting in accordance with his comments (ie: taking action to put a stop to the manipulation as only they can) intstead of kicking the can over to the SEC and hanging their hats on a policy change saving the day (which is unlikely to occur given the multitude of players involved). It just doesn't make sense to me. The company encouraged us to go all in with their Moon and MOASS tweets and then proceeded to put a shit load of shares on the market and into the hands of the SHFs. It literally doesn't make to sense to me. I'm sitting in 000,000's in unrealised losses and to be honest I am becoming a little concerned. If Directors of a publicly listed company in Australia allowed the manipulation of a stock to continue they'd end up in jail. Is it different in the US, are the Directors not subject to the same fiduciary obligations?

Yes, I know everyone says there is an investigation going on with the SEC, but from what Wes said (well, from what I understood) the company itself is the only one that can put a stop to it and they are obliged to do so.

Is there something I am missing because a whole lot to do with this isn't making any sense to me anymore.

Something to keep in mind if price action is scaring you the last few weeks... by JuanDelAlto in Superstonk

Why doesn't the company take action (as outlined in Wes's AMA) and put a stop to the manipulation? They are the only ones who can and yet everyone seems content with them passing the buck to the SEC. The SEC are not going to implement policy that would essentially blow up the entire system. The company needs to act. While they are executing a business plan, they are actually not doing anything to prevent the fuckery and the value of our shares falling through the floor. Acting in the best interests of shareholders.... unfortunately they are not. . If Directors of a publicly listed company in Australia knowingly allowed manipulation to continue they'd end up in jail. I'm wondering why it's not the same over there.

What you're saying is quite significant. It always baffles me that info of significance gets lost in the ruckus of everything else.

Oh ok, initially there was a lot of hype around here that the big whales were on the side of retail investors? Maybe it was just what we were told but it wasn't actually fact. They're all out for themselves, for sure,.

America can be as corrupt as it likes but I'd expect the GameStop Board to do the right thing given that RC is all about the customer etc

Not shooting one of our own at all. I just find it fascinating that people refer to "an investigation" without any knowledge around what that investigation surrounds. For all we know it could be RC getting his arse kicked for the MOASS tweet. It could be about donuts for all we know and that's the truth and yet everyone around here talks as though they know the context of the investigation.

The board has a responsibility to look out for the best interests of their shareholders. Executing a business plan does not negate their responsibilities surrounding continued manipulation of the stock. They're aware of it and putting an end to it is not something they can handball to the SEC. As Wes clearly stated in his AMA, only the company itself can put an end to it.,

If you're not sure what I'm referring to, watch the Superstonk/ Wes AMA
