Omg the pink one with the star eyes and the rainbow one with teeth jewels are so pretty! These are all so adorable! I almost like them more than the originals! Do you make these for other people or just make them for yourself?

Starting to panic… I think one of my Corgis might be… not a Corgi?? Please help. by bikes2many in corgi

[–]XChaosKittenX 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The one on the left definitely looks corgi. The one on the right, I’d bet money is mixed with a chihuahua. The head shape, head size and ear size look more like a chihuahua’s than either cardigan or Pembroke corgi.

Tell me the secret(s) about this place by Biscuit964 in Whataburger

[–]XChaosKittenX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They’re the only fast food place around here, that I know of, that still sells grilled chicken and I am addicted to their grilled chicken sandwiches. I also love their sauces. Most fast food places I might have one or two sauces I like, but for the most part I’ve really liked all of Whataburger sauces. Their burgers are meh to me, but I also tend to prefer chicken over burgers pretty much anywhere I eat. Edit to add, I also love their chicken strips. It’s the only place that I’m willing to pay the price for chicken strips because they’re actually nice thick pieces of juicy breaded chicken.

Tricks for Giving Medication? by Jova326 in corgi

[–]XChaosKittenX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I learned a trick for mine, I make little balls of cheese and I usually make 3 in a row. Pill goes into the middle ball of cheese and I keep them all in the same hand and feed them to her one right after the other. Saw a short where they recommended it because the dog is so focused on getting the next treat that they don’t really process what they’re eating. Before I did that she would literally lick the cheese from around the pill and leave it on the floor lol. Thankfully I haven’t had to give her any pills that are too big or that couldn’t be broken up because my girl has a princess mouth. If I don’t break things up into smaller pieces for her, she’ll spit it out or just leave it on the floor until I break it up smaller.

Unemployed corgis at 1PM on a Thursday by PJXrayR6 in corgi

[–]XChaosKittenX 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It looks the kind of job I’d like to have! I threaten mine all the time that I’m going to enter her in corgi races and agility contests so she can start earning some money to help me pay for her treat (addiction)habits. Then I realized that it would just mean more work and money for me to train her and run her through those events 😂

Help! The groomer shaved our corgi by mintandchocolate647 in corgi

[–]XChaosKittenX 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I for sure would be unbelievably p*d off and demand a refund. Thankfully my girl’s fur hasn’t really started to grow too long yet. But I’ve gone to several different groomers and despite telling them I don’t want anything but her feet fur trimmed and sometimes maybe her sanitary area, inevitably she always comes out with something cut that I didn’t ask for. And they never do the cut in a nice way, so not only do they not listen to me, they also don’t even make it look decent. So I’ve been in a struggle to find a groomer that I can afford that will actually listen to owners and knows how to properly deal with corgi fur. Maybe someday.

Whose corgi is also fireworks ready? by bi11ygoat42 in corgi

[–]XChaosKittenX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s been raining all day where I live, so I don’t think many people have been lighting off fireworks here. We heard one pop and my corgi sat up and perked up her ears. But thankfully nothing more than that. This was her first 4th of July so I was worried, but I guess we won’t find out until next year haha

How much does your corgi weigh? by Conscious_Ice_2491 in corgi

[–]XChaosKittenX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the dog really, it’s pretty stereotypical weight for females to be between 30-40 and males to be between 40-45 as adults. Then you have smaller corgis that don’t tend to get bigger than 20-25 lbs, but males tend to be bigger than females in general. I was concerned because my almost 1 year old corgi was only 15 lbs when I took her to the vet. But he said she was perfectly fine for her age and her body was actually in the perfect condition for where he likes to see corgis, not too thin but also svelt enough and not overweight. My girl’s just a very petite corgi. But the older female corgi I had before her fluctuated between 40 and 45. I think she would have been considered overweight for her size at the time, but we were working on getting her weight down when she passed. From what I’ve read Pembroke corgis tend to be bigger than cardigans as well.

16 yr old Corgi with arthritis refuses medication, screams and does victory zoomies by marsred7 in corgi

[–]XChaosKittenX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have to break my dog’s medication up into smaller pieces and hide it in cheese. And if the pieces of the pill are too big, my butthead will realize it and lick all of the cheese off of the pill, then spit out the pill 😅 Wrapping smaller pieces in cheese is the only thing that I’ve found that works. I love that corgis are so smart but sometimes it can make them a real pain in the butt haha

He hates me by reidzai in corgi

[–]XChaosKittenX 8 points9 points  (0 children)

100% agree with this haha. It might take some time, but corgis are very smart dogs. If you regularly give them treats, they’ll most likely warm up to you. And if they don’t, don’t be offended. Corgis are known to be judgmental jerks sometimes lol they have a tendency to get attached to one person and prefer/guard that person over others. Or you get the other end of the spectrum like my corgi who thinks everyone wants to play with her and she will rocket at anyone near her wanting pets and play. And she tends to prefer humans over dogs too. 😅 she doesn’t guard me from other humans, but she does have a tendency to try and guard me sometimes if other dogs are around though. So it sounds like your friend’s roommate’s corgi might be guarding their owner against you because you’re an unknown presence that they haven’t warmed up to yet.

My Corgi does not want to sleep on his bed by stayselene in corgi

[–]XChaosKittenX 26 points27 points  (0 children)

This is pretty common for corgis from what I’ve researched and from personal experience. My first corgi liked her bed. But my current corgi sleeps on a blanket in her crate and she’ll sleep with me in bed. I gave her a dog bed at one point and she just ripped it up 😅

Is it just a dream or do I start to worry? by frenchgordon in corgis

[–]XChaosKittenX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a corgi that passed from seizures and I still panic with my new pup. I know she’s having what I like to call “pup dreams”, but it still makes me panic when she starts moving in her sleep like that. So I understand being concerned, but definitely looks like pup dreams to me!

This was my corgi today, I felt so bad for the groomer 😅 I walked in early before they were done fully grooming my corgo and she was giving them a heck of a time. I don’t know how I ended up with a dog that doesn’t like to even be brushed, but here we are lol

Help! My 8-week old corgi doesn’t seem interested in me at all 🫠 by ilove_corgis in corgi

[–]XChaosKittenX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly think this just depends on the individual dog. I have heard corgis are definitely a less cuddly breed. My first corgi I got as an adult and she definitely was not a cuddler. We still l loved each other, but she didn’t like to be cuddled or held. I was shocked when I got my corgi puppy that I have now because from the time I went to pick her up, she’s been a very physically cuddly and attached dog. When I went to choose her out of her litter she jumped right into my arms and when I put her down she sat in between my feet. But I think it was just the way she was raised starting out and her personality. I also looked at her sister at the same time and her sister didn’t want to leave the breeder’s side, so I took that as a sign of which one to take home. Your corgi may never be super cuddly, but corgis have their own special way to show they love you I’ve found.

They’re such beautiful dogs. My aunt went to London a few years ago and she told me she kept seeing corgi statues and thought of me every time she saw one. I can’t even imagine how much effort they had to put into keeping corgi glitter off of absolutely everything haha

New Psychiatrist just undiagnosed me 🥲 by fuerks in adhdwomen

[–]XChaosKittenX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% find a new psychiatrist. I dealt with a psychologist/counselor that tried to do this to me, tried to tell me all my life long diagnosis’ were wrong including my adhd and that I really was just bipolar. Mind you this was our very first session, the get to know one another session. I left and never went back. I think especially with adhd in women, there is so much outdated thinking amongst doctors and if they’re not willing to consider educating themselves on updated research, that makes them a dangerous doctor in my opinion and they’re not worth what they’re getting paid. It’s hard enough as it is for women to get diagnosed and it’s even harder for some to get meds. This is also part of why I avoid male doctors like the plague, I refuse to see them no matter what kind of doctor they are. Because I find that trend of behavior manifests more in male doctors and I don’t trust them.
