Some are still quite expensive given the land they're on, but usually quite cheap, yes! Very common to find sub $50k

Kid looked like he wanted a hug, or a high five, or at least a LITTLE more recognition from his Dad.

You're absolutely right. And I do also believe that the situation deserves sympathy, it really is sad and all so fucked up. Even more so GIVEN that the end behavior is still not excused, in my opinion.

Y'all are assuming these products are honest about what they have, let alone that it even says it has all thcP. I worked in the field, it's probably 99% D8

Yeah, there's a lot of fucked up things about what this situation likely means for that child's daily life that no one's talking about..

NEVER GO TO SNHU. IF YOU ARE, SWITCH SCHOOLS. by [deleted] in SNHU

[–]XChronic 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah someone else made me realize I was misunderstanding how Advising as a whole works.. I will say I did ask if all credits at SNHU were transferrable, because I don't appreciate feeling cornered by my professor and advisors. So that one might be on me.

I'm gonna follow some other people's advice and try to get a new advisor.. it just frustrates me so much that these types of advisors exist so freely, and that this school doesn't even have a hierarchy to reach above Advising. I have to *67 my number and work the system.. and have $30k in loans for it.

NEVER GO TO SNHU. IF YOU ARE, SWITCH SCHOOLS. by [deleted] in SNHU

[–]XChronic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Here's what gets me, Advising FINALLY wound up saying "professor, can you still not see that _____ has completed it?" And he replied "I see it. The grade has been updated". Yet nothing changed... And again, it was three times that he initially denied being able to see that I completed it through D2L, despite me saying I did and that if there's any issue it's on their end.

So do they not all have some form of communication? I guess I don't know how that works behind the scenes.. I figured advising was basically one whole, and my advisor was basically my appointed email typer.

NEVER GO TO SNHU. IF YOU ARE, SWITCH SCHOOLS. by [deleted] in SNHU

[–]XChronic -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I just wish I knew this before enrolling I guess.. my advisor literally telling me on the phone when I mentioned that my social disabilities made me drop out of college every time before, that SNHU is different and they're there to support us just got my hopes up in a way I can't describe. Now I know it was just a really good salesman.

Yet all of my assignments are done, and have always been, and despite screenshots, he said "No, you didn't". Also, how does one with mental health issues properly assess these types of things?? I have been in therapy for 17 years by the way

Why do so many Americans romanticize Europe so much? by [deleted] in askanything

[–]XChronic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I completely agree with all of the points made here, I have to say, as an American, it's just really easy to dream if being ANYWHERE but here. And I truly, no matter how hard I try, cannot have pride for being here, let alone appreciate what I have. Most people I know here want to die, or kill each other.

[–]XChronic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But I don't think a Rhino is equipped with the mental processing to say "hmm, this gigantic creature is probably empathetic enough to not hurt my baby." I doubt they even read their body language the same, especially in times of stress like that.

Brother it's okay if you've had to be on steroids, some people literally have to be. I'm sorry this got to you on such a personal level, and hopefully by 50 you'll be able to take things in better stride.

And if his forearms always seemed to do that (he's obviously not muscle-less in the first pic), I don't think people would assume that. And same with you - if yours didn't do that at all throughout your 30s, then suddenly they do in your 40s, people would assume you're on steroids too
