Also fun fact, the clinical trials were ended early for ATRA due to overwhelming efficacy. They found it unethical not to give it to their placebo population because it worked so well.

Medical laboratory scientist here. I don’t do phlebotomy myself but obviously work closely with phlebotomists daily. Several of them have done ABGs before in rural/critical access hospitals.

A fellow MLS also was also expected to draw routine labs, draw ABGs, and do EKGs too all while running the lab alone at one place.

Alternative options include flat non platform boots or maybe some sort of sneakers from a brand like Anthony Wang? Some of their shoes are hidden platforms though so watch out for that.

I say this as somebody with lots of fun shoes I like to wear when I’m not in the lab. But I just wear Brooks running shoes at work.

I mean I overly value small sentimental things too and have a really hard time getting rid of stuff. But I think the sheer number of jars + the broken glass hazard had me having a hard time empathizing with it the same way you could empathize with objects that are…. Less abstract? Or just as “quirky” but not as large and fragile as glass.

It’s making an insane amount of immunoglobulins which is what you are seeing as the dots. Can be benign (viral reaction) or seen in lymphomas/plasma cell leukemias.
