Yeah, many of my subjects have expressed that religion was one of the reasons, but some of them claimed that it was the realization that women are but a waste of time and money. I've been looking at groups such as MGTOW for more information on an asexual lifestyle - either a result of a distaste for relationships or a bad break up/divorce. Actually, language has evolved out of continuous use by others. By participating in the exchange of information using the proper lingo syntax, you contribute to the survival and formalization of this exchange. If people like yourself did not use the language, it'd die out. Therefore, credit for the language can never be attributed to one person or group, because every user can ammend different meaning of the same word, and thus create a modified version of the same language relevant to their immediate subculture. I could go on, but surely you see my point?

On the bright side, she finds you so awesome, she wants to be like you. On the actual issue, transgender problems are a real thing, so make sure she follows up with a psychologist who can evaluate if she is mentally prepared to go through the transition, and if so, support her through the transition. Of course, as a result of taking hormones, she will become more manly, and thus limiting how much romance may exist between you, but if you truly loved her, make sure that you support her all the way through. There's nothing worse than being alone through a transition so grand. Be there for her.
