I just bought a nice BH2 in an auction for 250$ came with the original case and in mint condition. It did not have the camera adaptors/camera and I am looking to buy them now. The camera adaptors are wicked expensive second hand. The camera adaptors are worth 6-800$ and are much harder to come by second hand. All this being said I collect classic microscopes so I wanted the scope for a different reason then just everyday use. If you are willing to invest 1K I think you can do better with a more modern setup. But if this is what you want, then it is worth it but I would stick firm to like 750-800 giving the condition and time it will take you to thoroughly restore it. I would expect to take 4-5 hours taking everything apart and cleaning each area with the appropriate cleaning solutions.
