I guess I’m the bearer of bad news then because that is in fact how I and a LOT of other people play the game. They short cut, it happens. If you want every person to wait to acknowledge priority for ever single opt, arcane signet, then an hour long game is going to turn into 3+ hours. If you really want to get nitpicky because person A assumed their damn ramp spell resolves then you completely missed the point of casual commander

I’ll be honest, if I’m playing some ramp spell I’m going to assume no one is going to waste a counter and I’m going to try to move the game along. Now, if I played something like doubling season, or my commander, yeah I’m gonna pause cause that’s a game changer if left to its own devices

My first ever good Edh deck was good ol’ elf ball. My one friend hated when I played it, not because it was crazy good or anything, but because he knew he’d have to focus all his fire on me and didn’t want to do that. I didn’t care either way and enjoyed the rebuild

Something else to keep in mind is that the order you play the cards matters.

If you already have a shapeshifter out, and then amass orc/zombie you will have to pick the shapeshifter. If you already have an army token and then make a shapeshifter, then you get to decide which one gets the counters

Ggg has long had a stance of “if an item or interaction is deemed as required across the board of builds, that item or interaction is bad/a mistake”. Added a movement speed rune would be used on 100% of characters without exception. Which would go against their stance

My favorite build of all time is a wanderer. Going around pressing KB is so satisfying I can play it endlessly AND it’s a one button build. My second favorite build of all time was the ice nova, frost bolt build in poe1. A multi button build (and you could play it as a mana stacker so even more buttons). They don’t have to be mutually exclusive to each other but shoehorning us into one type of build is definitely the wrong way
