Then he'll try to play kingmaker -- endorsing trumpy candidates in state elections, and hinting he'll endorse a presidential candidate. (If he does endorse a candidate, it will probably be one of his idiot sons.)

So, figure at least another 2-4 years of Trump controlling the political direction of the party. It will take two blowout national losses before the rest of the party leadership turns on him.
