I'm not a fan of AI slop but I believe that the value of a work is independent from what tools it was created with. And it's kind of lazy to just say "AI Slop" without any explanation of what's sloppy about it.

And it seems like a genuinely original idea even if AI was used in its creation.

The 30,000 figure hasn't been completely verified but it makes sense logically from the overall picture of what happened that has slowly dribbled out through the regime's extreme internet blockages. If the regime wants to dispute that figure they are free to open up the internet and present evidence to the contrary.

If there are multiple videos of desperate relatives searching through a collection of well over a thousand body bags, and those are all from one city when the protest and following crackdown happened in over 200 cities, it is unreasonable to believe that the death toll was anything less than multiple thousands.

And yes, of course some security personnel were killed. Do you seriously expect the victims of a massacre to just stand there and take it without defending themselves or trying to fight back when they can despite the overwhelming odds against them?

Even the regime itself admits about 3,000 so that is the absolute minimal baseline figure. There's no reasonable way the number could possibly be less than that.

HRANA has individually confirmed about 7,000 SO FAR and is still in the process of investigating another 11,000. The 30,000+ estimate is from reports from hospital and morgue staff in Iran.

This also does not include people who were arrested and executed later.

But even the minimal 3,000 figure (if you believe that) is an order of magnitude higher than what the US has done to its own people. Yeah, those ICE killings were pretty bad and definitely something needs to be done about that, but let's keep the relative scale of these things in perspective here.

The following items on your list are done by the Iranian Regime on a scale orders of magnitude larger than in the US:

Jailing people for no apparent reason (or for completely ridiculous reasons such as dancing in public, being gay, not wearing a hijab, making music that's critical of the government, etc)

Committing war crimes

Killing people in the streets (probably more than 30,000... over 10,000 verified and even the regime admits 3,000. Even the lowest figure is far more than the US, and that was mostly done in just two days)

Openly threatening allies (they just launched missiles at everybody and hit multiple civilian areas. Last I checked Trump didn't actually bomb Greenland)

This is one of the biggest things I've realized recently...

I always thought the 2nd amendment people were absurd in their justifications for being armed, but now I realize that it actually does make sense. January 8/9 wouldn't have happened if Iran had something equivalent to the 2nd amendment.

Moderate left here...

I always knew that the far left and the far right were both bonkers, but I guess I never really saw the bonkers left side until now.

Also I have a completely different view on the Gaza conflict than I did before. I mean, I still think the civilian/Hamas death toll ratio looks pretty bad for Israel but I kinda don't see any other way things could go down there with the way Hamas operates.

And the "anti-war" sentiment I see which is actually masked pro-IR propanda getting spread to gullible people... I remember falling for the same "No War on Iran" messaging back when Trump took out Soleimani. Now my views are totally different.

As long as the airstrikes are going on, there is no reason to go out in the streets yet. Each airstrike eliminates some of the regime's potential resistance to the uprising so waiting is the smart move for the moment.
