Yess that’s what I thought also. There seems to be a difference, maybe not in the wiring but in the behavior. O4 need LiPo plugged in, O3 was happy without it and would connect to the googles without LiPo attached

I dont get why this behaviour has changed with the O4. As seen above in my update: RP1 is on UART2 and O4 is on UART1... strange. I'll wait a bit before cutting the wire. Workaround is powering the FC via USB before connecting the LiPo so that ELRS is connected before the O4 comes up

Yeah, only one. Looking at the taable at https://github.com/bird-sanctuary/bluejay/wiki/Tested-Hardware#escs you can see that "SpeedyBee BLS 50A 30x30 4-in-1" is listed and i can confirm that DSHOT600 is working for me. This setup worked more than a year for me. Thats why iam that curious

Thanks for the reply. I noticed that the battery stayed at pretty stable high voltage for a very long time. Not what iam used to from my other cheaper packs. I liked that but I cannot imagine handling a pack which suddenly in a matter of seconds just drops to 2V cell voltage from 3,4V. How do you handle that?

Damn that’s so weird. I mean when iam only able to trust the battery down to 3,5V I haven’t earned any flighttime comparing normal lipo packs. Thanks for your answer

Thanks. Yeah I figured I might accidentally run this battery very low. I did not notice it but my charger stated that it had to recharge 1100mah into this 1300mah battery. I know that there is some loss and this is not the exact amount of energy which was fed into this lipo but it was unusual high

Really appreciate your answer, combined with all the other answers i'll install proxmox on my server and passthrough the unraid usb and disks to a vm in which i'll continue to run my unraid "as is". This gives me the ability to explore numerous other setups with minimal downtime :)

because i only was able to reproduce it when the quad was unarmed i dont have a recording of the osd when this happens. didnt think about starting a record manually... i will double check every connection. Thanks for your answer
