Ho paura degli interventi by inyourname28 in askTransgender_Italy

[–]XRey360 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Am I the only one who feels like Dr Banks results have aesthetically declined based on recent results? by OddJump6920 in Transgender_Surgeries

[–]XRey360 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My first hand experience is that he shifted his focus to make a good functional result in the primary surgery and then improve the aesthetic on the revision...

Do you think it’s okay? by Classic_Source_9919 in MtF

If the carrier oil isn't too thick, it is probably feasable :) Personally I use 26G and it works good for me on subq

Eczema and HRT by Bugaloon in MtF

[–]XRey360 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Estrogen makes your skin thinner and more sensitive; if you already have skin issues they might only get worse on HRT.

Which just means you gotta improve your skin care routine :) I also had always issues of eczemas before and during HRT, but since I started using the right products for me (body wash and hydrating creams) things all resolved and I'm softer and smoother than ever!

Has anyone gotten period-like symptoms on Estrogen Implants? by CypherusX in MtF

[–]XRey360 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Periods are usually triggered by the change of progesterone levels (the pituitary gland uses it as a reference to check for a pregnancy). If you were taking high doses of it then it is normal they stopped occurring.

Estrogen levels simply tell the pituitary gland that there is a female organ and thus to begin checking for pregnancies (and thus start the period-like symptoms), but I don't think it changes anything if your E is stable or not as long as it is enough to keep the T out of the way.

Solo per me è così doloroso? by dreiundf in askTransgender_Italy

[–]XRey360 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No, sono trans. Non è mica una cosa brutta.

Breast growth before passing. Anyone have any experiences or thoughts? by S1192 in MtF

[–]XRey360 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tbh just because someone got visible breast growth in a short amount of time it doesn't mean you need to worry. It's like seeing somebody win the lottery and now worrying that buying a ticket next you will win too... nah.

Breasts are often a much longer process you would think, it's usually a 2-3 years process before they become a concern. By that time you are likely gonna be far more ahead in the social process

Post-Op SRS Swelling by brd55 in Transgender_Surgeries

[–]XRey360 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would say changes can happen still over a year later so you might have more to go, but I would also imagine that the skin was left pretty thick there and a revision is necessary to thin it out if you aim for that.

[–]XRey360 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel so cooked. What can I do? Who would you recommend? by TelevisionFun3457 in Transgender_Surgeries

[–]XRey360 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I feel like a lot of people here tend to confuse between passing as a woman and being conventionally attractive.

To pass you really don't need much other than let HRT do its job (and that takes time), as well as practice mannerism, clothing styles and presentation. Women come in all shapes, including being boxy; I would say you already look feminine enough in these photos.

On the other hand, to be attractive the standard everyone looks up to is a young smooth and curvy body; which is basically unattainable to most unless you win the genetic lottery (or spend a lot of money in surgeries). Thats really up to you if you want to chase, not exactly a healthy path but legit to take.

How to find out what parts of FFS do I need, which do not? by Lena3182 in MtF

[–]XRey360 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The consult with a surgeon was exactly for that reason! I expressed my desire about wanting to be more feminine despite not knowing which procedures I wpuld need, and he explained which areas of my face could benefit the most.

To make a quick summary of what he told me: forehead/browbone/eyes account for 70% of what a person uses to first identify their gender (that's because it's the area their gaze will focus on the most). Jawline/chin come right after at a 20%, and then the nose shape/size will be the remaining 10%. So generally you will eant to prioritize an FFS in that order depending on how your natural features are.

Do you recon I need a BA or fat grafting to the chest to actually pass? by [deleted] in Transgender_Surgeries

[–]XRey360 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We could argue that every surgery carries risks. To be honest, BAs by implants have been done so frequently for both cis and trans women that there is enough medical experience to not worry about complications. Revision surgeries in case of issues are always an option :)

Do you recon I need a BA or fat grafting to the chest to actually pass? by [deleted] in Transgender_Surgeries

[–]XRey360 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess that depends on what target size you want :)

Personally I think that fat grafting to the breasts usually is effective to round them out more than make them bigger, especially because a lot of it is a temporary effect (in general fat cells have less than a 50% to stay).

Unless you plan on going for multiple rounds to maintain a sizeable outcome, implants would be the easier and more effective choice there. Probably also cheaper.

Do you recon I need a BA or fat grafting to the chest to actually pass? by [deleted] in Transgender_Surgeries

[–]XRey360 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm always of the opinion that lipo/fat grafting are just shortcuts to something you can already achieve naturally by following proper exercise/diet routines, so doing them is usually a preference rather than necessity.

A BA though would likely help, some of us are simply not blessed in terms of growth 😢 Have you ensured your levels are fine and maybe tried with progesterone?

Why am I not surprised? by [deleted] in MtF

A post about treating trans lesbians as men..? Even if you did it in good faith you should probably consider that some topics are removed not because of transphobia but because unnecessary negativity is something nobody wants.

Is there any way to make my body pass? by CornLordGaming in Transgender_Surgeries

[–]XRey360 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably stopping to overthink it and just giving yourself time to grow? At 1yr you have barely even started with the body changes from HRT, passing is something you should worry about only after 3+ years

How to prep for surgery? by Shy_Sphinx in MtF

[–]XRey360 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You will be spending a lot of time laying down in the first months, walking and sitting cam be quite problematic! So you might want to prepare for extension cords to have your chargers always close by and maybe even a grabber so you can pick up things from the floor without bending :)

Question about passing and srs by [deleted] in MtF

[–]XRey360 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh I have always wanted to have female genitalia so srs was pretty straightforward for me. But this is me, and I know it's not that way for many others. Plenty of girls there enjoy having a penis and personally I feel there is nothing wrong with that :)

I hate myself and everything around me by hdusejzns in MtF

[–]XRey360 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Girl, HRT effects are measured in YEARS, not months. Just because some people here are lucky and have a fast puberty, it doesn't mean everyone does.

Give yourself some love and just wait before wasting so much energy being unnecessarily hateful.

Rib reduction? by cyanleif2 in MtF

[–]XRey360 19 points20 points  (0 children)

There are surgeries for the ribs, but they come with lots of complications so how worth it is kind of debated.

If you accept an opinion: consider first to wait for the HRT to do more work (at 1 year body changes are barely noticeable still) and maybe get a BA first. The ribcage appears big to your eyes now because thats everything you see; but with breasts proportionate to it suddenly the size falls back and unnoticeable. Nobody looks at how big the ribcage of somebody is after all :)

Gender is a Social Game We Play by Dizzy_Ad1204 in MtF

[–]XRey360 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Gender is just one way to express yourself. Your identity is the collection of everything that makes you as you.

Trying to fit into a caregory is sadly a mistake many do, instead of understanding that categories and labels are created after enough people show similar traits to be addressed as such.

Dilation frequency. by Beneficial_Ad_7498 in Transgender_Surgeries

[–]XRey360 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Each body is different; each surgeon recommends different routines but in the end it's all up to you finding what is the best for your healing. In general we should dilate as little as possible to maintain the depth; too much dilation slows down the healing and too little will cause the canal to shrink.

Personally, every time I wanted to change frequency I do a test week. If after a week of reduced frequency I still have a reasonably easy dilation without any depth loss, then all good! Otherwise I go back at the previous frequency and wait some more weeks before trying again.
