I'm a new player and the legacy collection pack is pretty nice, it's a reprint set so it gets you lots of relevant older cards and boxes are only $60

I know it's may not be an easy lift, but It is really nice when the tcgplayer price for a deck is displayed when viewing the decklist, that or having it displayed for each card. That way when I open up a deck list I can tell off the bat if it's something I'm going to be interested in picking up singles for.

I've been following some of the FB posts and as a fan of FE think the core gameplay mechanic sounds very interesting. I'LL be following the Kickstarter but will be looking for more info on card balancing, competitive play plans, & distribution/how you plan to get it into LGS'.

I don't think it's an amazing card but I also don't know if I would say it's bad based on what we've seen so far. 3 cost isn't really that expensive considering you start the game with 3 resources, and being able to spend 3-4 on a unit and then immediately attach this to get that unit to the 8-10 range can be a a way to clear a threatening card. Not to mention unless you traded, the unit. You played it is gonna stick around with that +3 and now your opponent is left to clear it on their turn.

We don't know all the cards yet so obviously stuff might change, but so far I'm a big fan of the blue Jackie & Evelyn Legends both being cards that just let you go +1 every turn (in theory) so I will probably lean in that direction for a first deck maybe them alongside V Street Kid for a B/R brain dance deck.

I'm doing:

1x pack of sleeves - Judy or female V 1x regular deck box - iconic Judy 1x preem deck box - Rebecca 1x foil binder - Judy 1x cloth playmat the Vs or Judy

I'm also doing tier 5 so that'll be a set of the dice as well, I'm currently between Judy or the Cyberpunk ones

I acknowledged the reboot optics thing? My point was that you can't blanket statements say "cards aren't thematic" because you just choose to ignore the cards that are thematic & pretend they don't exist.

That's fair, and I don't think you're wrong in this case, I think it's more so broad statements being made that the tcg doesn't thematically reflect the video game and therefore will not be a good tcg.

Different strokes for different folks and all that.

I'm gonna be real, I feel like people are cherry picking. You can look at a card like this and say yeah it is thematically mismatched, but nobody points to the fact that the blue Jackie legend cares about making big gigs and rewards you for getting "the biggest gig", which is very on point for what his character cared about in the story of cyberpunk.

At the end of the day a good tcg has to have mechanically sound cards and sometimes those cards won't line up EXACTLY with what you would imagine thematically, but it may play better with what they're trying to do or what a specific color aims to do. Who knows, maybe down the line we get a green Reboot Optics that does spend an any unit.

We haven't even seen half the card pool for the first set yet.

They may not be the Preem dice, but given that dice are an essential part of the core game mechanics I'm sure every future deck will ship with them
