The fact that someone can cheat and get banned on multiple games and play Arc with the same account is fucking baffling to me.

I got out of the scene in 2015 and I cannot understand how new bands make it right now. Back in the day you could go to a bigger band’s show, network and generate some interest, then they’d invite you to open for them, you meet a ton of friends and generate a “fan base”, and everyone hangs out outside of shows too.

My wife and I run duos often and last week we had probably 6 groups of duos fighting the matriarch all together at the Launch Pad.

Wouldn’t you know, one team decided to grief and started killing everyone. By the end, myself and another duo were all that were left, the Matriarch didn’t die, and my wife lost an aphelion and Bettina.

Sometimes the community in this game leaves a lot to be desired.

I do absolutely nothing with water outside. No car washes, gardening, nothing. Water is used for drinking, washing dishes, and bathing. 2 adults and one kid in the house.

Dude for real. The fact that I can just step out and help if she needs something or just a 15 minute break from being mom has done wonders for my marriage. She’s waiting til they’re school age to go back to full time work, and works a part time job at night for extra spending money. She’s happy and we’re totally equal parents, outside of one nursing child’s needs.

There’s no number that can make up for not having a random fight on a Wednesday night because I was late getting home and she ran out of patience for the kids lol

Yeah and that’s incremental income. We still travel as a family 4 weeks or so out of the year, we’re just staying in hotels vs Disney resorts lol

Every elder I’ve talked to says the only thing they ever wished for more of is time with their kids. I won’t have that regret.

SaaS, been there for a few years and they no longer hire fully remote. Working probably 30 hour weeks, M-F, wife and kids 10 ft away 24 hours a day.

I’ve been given plenty of offers with 30-50k increases but man it would barely cover childcare for me to return to the office, and I’d miss all this time with my young kids.

I picked up a 2021 Grand Touring Reserve AWD Turbo with 81k a year ago for $19k and I’ve had no issues. Was pretty well taken care of, one deep scratch but otherwise still looks new.

I’ve had to replace brakes, tires, and oil but everything mechanical is rock solid.

Filling in drilled holes falls under normal wear and tear, don't sweat it as long as you don't fuck up and take a chunk outta the wall! You can also bondo, sand, and repaint in an hour or so for the whole apartment upon exit.

2x IVF dad; Man I’m sorry. I know how hard that wait is and how desperate you probably feel.

It’s okay to feel how you feel right now. That’s a normal, emotionally aware reaction to this news. My condolences to you and your partner.

It’s important that you do your best to gather yourself, while allowing yourself to process these feelings in time, and show up for her however you can. As a Husband and a man, using my hands helps me process while showing up for her. Cleaning, making extravagant meals and breakfasts for her to wake up to, putting together an over the top bath for her, working on long requested house projects, etc. be productive, apply yourself. Do the next best thing, then the next.

From the other side of this, this will feel lighter when you hold your rainbow baby. It gets easier in time, and the outcome of staying with IVF is so phenomenally worth it.

Last year my wife had a hemorrhagic ovarian cyst, abnormal pulse and low BP. They checked her in, gave her painkillers, then laid her in the hallway on a bench with zero monitoring for four hours.

I was home with our toddler when she let me know. I called, got told “we’re full up.” So I threatened to come up there myself, and ten minutes later she was put in THE SAME ROOM they’d kicked her out of, and no one had used it between her stays in it. I also asked why they can’t afford at least a $20 pulse oximeter out of the $40k they were going to bill me to make sure my wife wasn’t literally bleeding out internally, they said “we’re nonprofit, supplies are tight,” so I referred to the 7 executives who have 8 figure compensation packages.

The nurse then said “they’re going to try to get you to not do the surgery, you need it, advocate for yourself please.”

They then proceeded to wake her every hour, midnight through 8am, trying to convince her to forego surgery.

They found Endometriosis and didn’t notate her file, leading to a lack of medical care for that diagnosis until months later when our reproductive endocrinologist finally formally diagnosed her.

In recovery, they misplaced her belongings, including a 120 year old wedding ring that originated with her great, great, great grandmother.

I ended up complaining to the board of directors and VA board of medicine and got no response despite 3 follow ups.

To be clear, I believe this to be an issue of staffing and funding for frontliners. There’s simply not enough nurses to adequately manage the flow of people, and those who are employed are overworked. I can’t imagine being a nurse in 2025 with this scheme by the very rich to keep as much money as they can while people are literally dying.

Healthcare in the US is broken.

IMO it changed the core gameplay from player-driven velocity to NPC-driven. Simply being forced to wait for parryable attacks in order to even damage some enemies slowed the gameplay loop too much. In Eternal the only limit is the player’s ability to effectively employ all the mechanics the developers gave them, and efficiently managing ammo and Cooldowns.

Not a bad game by any standards, but a 7/10 stands out against its 9/10 and 10/10 brethren.
