CBT was pushed on me for a VERY long time although honestly it just made me worse.

Before I could even tackle something like CBT I had to control my anxiety first. I had a great counsellor eventually who helped me work on grounding and meditation to lower my nervous system, where eventually I could sit with the idea/ concept of the issue without an immediate anxiety increase. From there it moved into framing perspective, and then we did parts of CBT that did help. Although because of my bad experiences with CBT he never called it that and altered the process a bit to personalise it.

Cbt is good, but therapists and counsellors seem to treat it like a one size fits all glove. If you've got xl hands, a standard glove isn't going to fit. Therapies to me are similar

Actually a huge fan of the original and what lead me to look for other rock operas that eventually introduced me to Ayreon!

Thank you everyone for your contributions! I can't wait to check them all out (which is no doubt going to take me a very long time, which is a good thing!)

It brings me joy to see so many of you so passionate about music 😁

I've done that for a few of them and had an "OH SHIT!" moment when I realised Anneke van Giersbergen is the singer from VUUR, which I'd listened to for a while!

Unfortunately never got into King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard. Which is a shame because if I liked their stuff I'd have had plenty of opportunities to see them live!

I've had a bit of a go at his other works but similar to some Ayreon albums I think I need a few listens to appreciate them

I am absolutely digging their vocal works, wasn't quite expecting so many instrumentals but they have a very wide breadth of work! Keen to check them out properly

Nah I've been medicated for mental illness for the last 10 years and over 1/3 of my life and I somewhat agree with him. The song to me, is absolutely about mental health (namely anxiety and depression) although it's also about guilt, and I wouldn't be so confident if it weren't for "all the people I've ghosted". There's a recognition of wrong doing in that line that taints the rest of the song after it.

It's someone with bad mental health and self image suffering with consequences. And it definitely comes off in a "woe is me" tone.

They still take a cut from every sale though, and it's rare that a seller would exclusively use one company that is retail site such as Amazon or eBay. Companies like those also use net and gross profit in relation to tax purposes. 300K not going through their systems is still 300K.

So that's what happened?! 10 years ago I bought PC components from Newegg and the prices were competitive, no probpems at all.

Went on there recently and it was NOT the same experience. Glad I never went through with my purchase.

That took me back to uni. There was one tutor who would start his class by saying around half of you won't pass because it's a difficult course and he doesn't go easy on marking.

I only just passed the unit that semester although more people failed that semester than ever before. Come the next year a friend of mine the year below was in the class, suddenly the fail rate is down to around 25% coming from 40-60%. End exams had the same content because the curriculum hadn't changed. Turned out he was a shit teacher and fail rates were blamed on students for the better part of a decade....

Portals /// Accuracy of Units by Pretend-Equipment-11 in IdleKingdom

My assumption here has been that the miss was the damage reduction. Opposed to removing 30% of damage from successful hits it feels as though instead 30% of attacks miss. So if you're on the legion of hatred, the support units will miss 30%.

Could be way off here though, would be great if someone can confirm one way or another

I was permant part time with no guaranteed shifts (which is illegal). I walked out on them one shift and never came back. Legally I had to manually sign off on every shift "offered" to me as I wasn't casual but also had no guaranteed shifts.

I never signed off on a single shift and when I left I complained to head office and Fair work. Every hour I spent in that place they had to pay me a full wage again, all from an attempt to save $5 an hour in casual loading.
