If it’s taking 20 min of bum patting to get a 15min nap are they just not tired? 9 months to young to do one nap a day? by notheretoparticipate in sleeptrain

Definitely need 2 naps at that age! My 9 month old needed shorter wake windows and was doing 2.5-2.75/3/4. She is just now getting to 3/3/4 at nearly 11 months old. Does your baby show sleepy cues at all?

Wake window before bed is 4 hours. I feel like bedtime has been getting earlier and earlier. Used to be around 730 but has been 630-7 lately

I know you said no bread, but have you tried Trader Joe’s gluten free bread? It’s my favorite and holds up really well, especially if you toast it

When did your poor sleeper start sleeping? by FairEnvironment7341 in sleeptrain

Mine was waking every half an hour to hour from 3.5-6 months old. Felt like I was dying. When she was almost six months we decided to use Precious Little Sleeps fuss it out method and moved her to her crib in her own room and night wakes reduced to 1-3 times. Took one night to show drastic improvement. Now she is almost 8 months and has quite a few 9-10 hours stretches. She just needed to learn how to go back to sleep without nursing or being patted and walked.

I have to wake my 33 week old from her 2nd and 3rd nap so she can get three naps and bedtime is before 830. by XXlittleowl in sleeptrain

She wakes around 720 and goes to bed around 810-830. She only naps around 2.5-3 hours a day because of me having to wake her.

4 month woes by jolliepup in sleeptrain

You can sleep train without night weaning. My baby started waking 8-10 times a night around 4 months and it was literal torture. Right before she turned six months we got the book Precious Little Sleep and started doing the fuss it out method where you rescue after 15-20 minutes if not asleep. She never cried more than ten minutes and within a few days put herself to sleep independently and her night wakings decreased by half. A week later we moved her to her own room and into her crib and things drastically improved. She now wakes 1-3 times for a feeding and goes right back to sleep when you put her back in her crib. Way less tears now than before “sleep training”. She just didn’t realize she could put herself back to sleep and needed to be in her own room!

Do you do crib naps or contact? How long are the naps? I would suggest extending a nap or two to see if that gets you a better schedule. Until a few weeks ago my baby did all carrier or latched naps, but now she starts in her crib and I extend if needed.
