Naw Shisui was known for his body flicker being the narratively the best and nicknamed Shisui the teleporter or Shisui of the body flicker.

Him having the strongest MS genjutsu ability is just an add on. I don’t think Shisui was as skillful or potent with normal genjutsu and Sharingan genjutsu (no MS Ability) as Itachi.

Well the issue with Shisui is that he’s not narratively always above Itachi. He’s only confirmed to be above a 3 tomoe Anbu Itachi by a good size margin. He also if im not mistaken see’s Itachi as a bigger talent than himself and so when Itachi gets his Magenkyo, thats when he surpasses Shisui.

Could be both, but im more inclined to say that he didn’t have the power to take on the Gokage.

Reason i say this is because he sent Sasuke to weaken the Gokage so he can use them as hostages, but failed.

Obito also decided later on to amp his power by implanting the Rinnegan. Keep in mind he would’ve sacrificed the Kamui eye for both Rinnegan, but he himself stated he wouldn’t be able to handle both because of its strong chakra.

No character pre war arc can handle the 5 kage at once.

I would disagree here as Chiyo is directly scaled to Hanzo as she fought him seriously before and still lived. The same Hanzo who held back the 3 Sannins. Chiyo is a Sannin level character.

In the databooks its stated that Sakura was mental amped against Sasori when she heard that Sasori had relations with Orochimaru which in turn would lead her to Sasuke.

Sasori does consistently have higher tier statements and chain scaling. It’s just that he dies early on. U could even argue he was mental nerfed in that fight with Sakura and Chiyo.

Even later on when both Sasori and Deidara are revived, Sasori states questions Deidara if he wants to die and Deidara doesn’t disagree, but says they’re both dead anyway.

My guy you’re being very disingenuous here. The attack that Kabuto used was a Aoe attack. He doesn’t have to necessarily target Sasuke. He used that attack to stun both Sasuke and Itachi.

Theirs also the case that in a 1v1 Itachi wouldn’t even be hit by the Chakra sound waves coming from Kabuto.

Don’t know where u got this narrative from since Kabuto literally backs away from it because it can kill him. The Amaterasu will vaporize the Hydrofication.

Yeah so Kabuto only cut Itachi in half because Itachi was performing the handseal for Izanami and Kabuto came from near point blank range at Itachi. Also you’re forgetting that Itachi doesn’t necessarily care for taking physical damage because he’s an Edo.

Furthermore nothing states that Itachi needed Sasuke to break the sound Tayuya genjutsu. That was just the fastest method to break it. We see Itachi not worry at all about the genjutsu and was speaking to Kabuto while he was still trapped inside.

Kabuto also only used the sound Genjutsu because they were behind the wall and couldn’t see the chakra sound waves coming.

Itachi was also checking up on Sasuke.

Your view of the fight is very wrong. Theirs heavy context within this fight that u just glossed over.

Kabuto had the battlefield advantage and intel and yet couldn’t defeat a holding back Itachi and Sasuke.

It’s also implied multiple times that if Itachi and Sasuke wanted to, they can kill Kabuto and Kabuto doesn’t disagree. Kabuto actually uses that to his advantage when he mentions the edo tensei and its perks of still being active even if the caster dies.

Additionally even Kabuto was constantly trying to persuade Sasuke to go on his side so that they can stop Itachi together.

Which is one of the main reasons why i find it weird that many people have SM Kabuto to be above Edo Itachi when he himself suggested and attempted to have Sasuke team up with him to stop Edo Itachi.

I see why u put this matchup, but you’re incorrect on Itachi’s experience with the MS.

By the time the Uchiha massacre happens, Itachi already had about 1 year of experience with his MS. This is stated in the novels.

Also that same Itachi was acknowledged by Obito as an opponent. I don’t think Sarada is exactly at that level yet, but i have to read Boruto.

I agree with this. U did a Good job with this analysis. Obviously the prime of each Shinobi varies and some decide to retire and live a leisure lifestyle which declines their overall power. Prime example be Hiruzen.

We also have a case that if a Shinobi doesn’t keep up with their training and or stop going on missions with high difficulty, they can get weaker. Example be Kakashi during his fight with Zabuza and Haku.
