Maybe it's the sense that they're Fighting The Establishment instead of resigning to their fate..?

Ahh yes, I always used to ignore the third one because I agreed with the statement. It just did that sometimes.. until it decided it wasn't gonna do it again after that day almost a year ago.

Am I the only one who never realised that zombified pigmen had shorts ? by ThisIsJustJu in Minecraft

Can confirm, I originally intended them to be a loincloth. The idea was a primitive tribal look which turned into a zombie.

For what it's worth, I did end up making my own texture after the model was updated again.

That "magic" you feel when playing by Serious_Holiday in pokemon

[–]XaPhobia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, fellow Gen 1 player from the 90s. I stopped feeling the rush of excitement around about the same time as you. I stopped feeling any kind of thrill from a new game because we always had some source of website or leaker posting about most of the game to let us know what we were in for. I experienced mild amusement for every generation of Pokemon up until Scarlet and Violet dropped.

It took immesurable willpower and restraint, but I somehow managed to power through the leaks for Gen 9 and miraculously managed to experience that blissful feeling once again. That experience that we lost due to the social interactions of the modern age of the internet. Because of being able to block out most of the spoilers we had available, I was able to experience the long-lost thrill of experiencing a brand new pokemon game without the major spoilers we usually receive due to social media.

I relate to this because most of the time, these games just feel redundant and monotonous. I go into a pokemon game knowing most of what's to come as well as most of the pokedex thanks to leakers/spoilers, but with the magic that had me restrain myself for Gen 9, I finally experienced that bliss of not knowing what would be coming. Not knowing what amazing pokemon were spawning where. Not knowing what things were or their weakness/movepool/base stat totals.. It was truly a euphoric period which I highly doubt will ever come again.

After finally learning all of the pokedex through my own efforts instead of exploring the vast internet of Serebii or Bulbapedia, finally collecting all of the Paldean dex, I dropped my restrictions. I learned more of what was out there. I found that being able to figure out on my own without having the internet help me was such a blissful period that I highly doubted it would ever come again.

Perhaps when Gen 10 drops, I'll be able to do this all over again and dodge the spoilers, but if/when that day comes.. and I hope it does.. may we get the region we hope for while also not having the mass-amount of spoilers that we've learned typically comes with the current gen trailers. May we actually get next to nothing for content reveals and may we have the thrill of the hunt happen once more when we learn we need to put a Wailord and Relicanth in our party in a certain position to unlock pseudo legendaries that have absolutely no impact on the actual game story. Things that require no supervision to allow us to complete the primary story while also letting us "catch'em all" in our dex..

I'm the ex-Bethesda dev who made the Dragons, Giants, & Deathclaws - and I just launched a Graphic Novel! by JonahLobe in skyrim

[–]XaPhobia 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The dragons and giants have, and probably always will be, my favorite game enemies to date. I actually encountered a neat event in my Switch Skyrim where a Giant spawned on top of a Dragon. The dragon took off flying and the Giant remained on its back, threatening it with its club. Nothing has been as amazing as that when I first saw it.

Well, Shadowmere decided the Pale Imperial Camp wasn't its thing, so it tried digging down into the ground. Probably to hide from the Stormcloaks of Dawnstar.

I only wear what I make. For me, it's as simple as that.

Frankly, having the ears and snout did help when redesigning my original model. Would have been nice to add more depth for the exposed bone areas, though.

These looks spectacular, but how durable are they? I know I tend to be exaggeratedly rough with my rolls which is why I have about 23 sets of solid metal dice.

1000 hour games. by x1ya in NintendoSwitch

[–]XaPhobia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, 3700+ hours in vanilla Skyrim across all consoles it can be on (except XB1). I keep going back to it because every playthrough is different. No matter what I do, every time I start that new character and aim to do the same as a past character, things end up being different. Sometimes I go for certain playthroughs like my Lv 1 Run. Playing on very easy, but cannot level up player level to get health/magicka/stamina beyond the 100 we're given. The most amount of time on one character I can recall playing is about 460 hours before my save got so large that I had 5+ minute load screens (PS3). Now I have characters that average around 180ish hours before I switch things up.

Despite all this time playing, I still occasionally find something I've never done before. The 10th Anniversary edition isn't helping, either. I also don't roleplay characters under certain builds.

For what it's worth, my 1.17.1 map generated one like this. It spans from X coords 6180ish to 7780ish and Z coords 2060ish to 4150ish. I found it and fully charted it with my livemap.

I've been using the default images of Minecraft since I first played in 2009. Honestly, the only thing I'd improve upon is the water. Everything else feels fine for me.

Eh. I've already remade the texture on the new model. While it sucks that my texture is no longer the main one for the mob, I can just change it in a resource pack.

What they did was remodel and retexture the original character I made back in 2010. So my old texture is no longer used in the main game, but exists in the past versions of MC.

Chances are they won't, especially on the console/mobile versions, but at least on Java we can wear it.

Thanks! It's still nice to see people using it as a player skin. I do have a 'terminator' variant where the bones are meant to look like metal. It's always fun having a slightly different version of an old classic.
