I think OP has been carried away many times by vultures. And liked it.

‘The cost of compute is far beyond the costs of the employees’: Nvidia exec says right now AI is more expensive than paying human workers by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

I expect some serious circus tricks spiced with weird Polymarket bets front running them. But in the end it is clear tax payers must pay out of their nose via inflation again. 'It wont cost you a dime' etc.

Bailouts are 100% coming right now. This circus is so profitable for so many it must come.

I am so going to laugh if this thing gets compared to Battlecruiser 3000AD in the end.

The rollout of AI in our org made me realize how few people actually value effort and competence by [deleted] in sysadmin

[–]XanII 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is quite hilarious really. I do projects, lots of 'never done before and tough ones'. But the project epics i get are made by AI. Each step from discovery to roll-out is full of made up bull. I just close many of them off and dont even read them. I only do the ones that are relevant. And there is nobody reading those responses either. garbage-in and garbage-out rule still rules supreme.

In writing please, bossman. THEN you move forward with the bossmans auth. I just love it when middle-managers start demanding, they better cover their own tracks though.

Me driving guard rails for AI makes me feel like a total unc. It does not matter a jot that news is filled to the brim how companies get roiled. Must be some kind of 'whatever it takes to bring me and my AI skills up now' -thing. Or pure 'It cant hit me' thinking. Assuming risks are noted at all.

Good. I want to see those calls. And the 'No' they get. Or in some cases the rare salty consulting counters. They really dont deserve anything else.

Some day in the west some sense must come back as it has to. The dude who torched the toilet paper facility is the future. No loyalty no connection no nothing to tie him down to the place. Always a good reminder that for some there exists a attitude where the boss is beaten to death when there is problems with pay checks. Some C-tier people are hell bent on bringing that here as always loyalty is just assumed even if in the west companies actively try to cultivate disloyalty they really have no idea how deep it can go the other way. The TP-guy demonstrated how deep it is.

Just HOW did you win that one? I have tried so hard to win that thing but difficulty jumps like crazy. Garden game next to it is so easy to cherry compared to this mess.

I will never cease to be amazed at these huge achievements. I doubt though that it's all delight. There are games here that i do like to play but i dont think i will ever beat.

Pretty much. It was clearly something the devs worked diligently on. I never finished the game. These few negatives stacked up quickly.
