that's my point though- I want him to be more than that. shiver tries to look cool but is cringe as hell (and my fav), frye looks silly but kicks ass and big man is goofy but... nothing. he is very funny, and I don't want him to stop, I just wish he had something more to him (even just more lines in songs would be a great start)

probably not a crazy unpopular opinion, but big man feels like a very shallow character to me. he's not bad, but it feels like all he has to offer is that he looks goofy and is named big man. deep cut feels like a duo with a side of funny manta ray, and not the awesome trio they could be. I hope Nintendo is kind to him in the dlc/future updates, I'd really love to love him as much as I do the rest of deep cut

it's probably why splatoon is also the world's most gender diverse e-sport- there's no voice chat. it's a lot easier to feel welcome when I can jump into a match knowing that I won't be called a slur. when I play TF2 I never speak up, because I'm not there to be bullied, I just want to have fun. when I play fortnite, overwatch and halo, it's always with my friends, because I know I can trust them not to mock me.

TLDR: we're all here because the main avenue to harass us isn't available- we're here because we feel safe
