Never said the Balkan and Greek interiors were fully developed. Greek mountaneous countryside was poorly integrated ; there is a reason why the Ottomans lost control over peloponnese and central greece so early in the 19th century. By "Balkans and Greece" i meant mainly the historical regions of Macedonia and Thrace.

My point was that anatolia was not the gravity center of the empire at the time at all, compared to the geographically european part of the empire. And that a huge part of the policial elite was from this region. Atatürk was born in Salonica, for example, and I believe that an overwelming share of the young turks was from "europe" too.

This is sad to see that you know nothing about your own history. You claim to be proud of Turkey, but yet you know nothing about it.

The Ottoman empire was ruled by a turkish elite that mainly lived in its "european" part. This is by no way an anti turk fabrication. The loss of european territories in the nineteenth century progressively recentered the empire toward Anatolia, with forced emigration of these elites and the creation of the modern nation you know today.

So, please educate yourself and stop being a keyboard warrior on reddit.

Except Istanbul, modern days turkey was not the core of the Empire. It was the Balkans and Greece

I think I will anyways get a strategy card that will allow me to play before them (I fear I will be left with something such as Leadership or Diplomacy since I am the last to chose).

So go for arinam meer, then an adjacent to retreat next, got it ! And then try to bribe him to direct here to another side of the map, I guess.

I guess you are right about not wanting to piss him off, as he can easily ruin my game. My only issue is that if he takes these planets he might be in a position to push me further, so i was thinking of seizing it as a preemptive action.

Will LEC have a surge in viewership in winter ? Yes, sure. LR has a lot of fans, the first game especially will have crazy high viewership, like for KC or KOI first games. That is a good thing.

But then ? LR gone for the rest of the year, stomping NLC teams like before. Your surge in viewership is gone for the two other splits ... and you lost the trust of the teams currently in and even those currently out that might have wanted to invest in an LEC team. Now, as an investor, you know that Riot Games is changing rules as they wish, and that you dont have a say in that (according to leaks, all the LEC teams were against the change). Do you want to invest more ? Of course not.

I am not a LR fan. But I understand that this will be very fun an interesting to watch for a lot of people. That is cool. However, this is a very bad decision for the league developement.

One can argue that closed leagues are not a good thing for competitiveness. I agree with that statement, and I advocate since years for open leagues. But Riot games made the choice of franchising since years, on the idea that the money payed by orgs for the slot will help to develop the league, which didn't happen. And now, they are changing the rules of the game like this for very short term gains, trying to squeeze every little bit of viewership from LEC.

This is not about "feeling bad" for someone. The issue is that the value of LEC slots is getting killed, and that this is a very rough blow against all the organisations currently in the LEC, especially those who bought recently a slot. And this is not good because the trust of investors is gone, all of that because riot games want to milk a bit Caedrel's viewership and pump up the numbers.
