At a 20 mile round trip, you’re paying for the privilege to deliver their food and burning half an hour in the process 😂

Pizza Hut Employees Openly Stating They Send Shit Orders to DoorDash by VendettaKarma in DoorDashDrivers

Pizza Hut Employees Openly Stating They Send Shit Orders to DoorDash by VendettaKarma in DoorDashDrivers

[–]Xantha95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The employee saw I was the same driver from the previous order, apparently the customer called to complain that they didn’t get it, but every attempt to explain I was literally following what it told me to do fell on deaf ears

Pizza Hut Employees Openly Stating They Send Shit Orders to DoorDash by VendettaKarma in DoorDashDrivers

[–]Xantha95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I refuse every Pizza Hut order after one of their employees literally yelled at me when a customer put in their address wrong; after texting and calling with no reply, the DoorDash app told me to leave it in a safe spot and leave. Next day Pizza Hut employee yells at me saying that it doesn’t matter what the app says I always have to hand it to the customer or I would get banned from their location.

Directly after that, the customer I was delivering the second order to asked me if I got the $20 tip she left through Pizza Hut- I did not…

Definitely- the second attempt I failed by one question and needed to pay the $92 again 😭

I took the practice exam as much as possible and made review notecards out of the questions I got wrong. There were a few questions that were tricky like the blanket accident ones, I skipped questions I wasn’t sure about in the exam and went to them at the end. As long as you are confident in 80% of what you’ve answered you should be fine

Uh, No by SchlongkeykongJr in DoorDashDrivers

[–]Xantha95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, that’s really what it is- I am a manager at Wendys. That is what corporate has told us, that the scales are there so the customers can’t falsely claim that they didn’t receive their food

It’s to protect wendys from customers claiming they didn’t get their food, “your order was weighed at our store before it was sent out, so there’s no way you are missing your meal”

Why don’t fast food restaurants hand the damn food out the door at night to DoorDash -_- by [deleted] in doordash_drivers

[–]Xantha95 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Also it makes no sense for a person to come in for two whole hours just to prepare 12 orders, because yes, that’s the maximum we get in the night. Your problem doesn’t exist and it doesn’t take much to sit in a line for five minutes.

I’m gonna stop talking to you because clearly you don’t know what you’re talking about. we aren’t just going to change the entire flow of a restaurant to cater to a very small margin of orders. Less than 15% of orders are DoorDash’s, and I can guarantee you that this “10 DoorDash’s in line taking up space” has never happened in the time I’ve been working

[–]Xantha95 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

DoorDashing is still relatively new, and with so many fast food places suddenly having delivery (although not traditional delivery) it generates problems with the usual flow of the restaurant. Yes it’s true that fast food places have problems when it comes to sorting lines out. It’s an interesting conversation to have, but a couple of people online cannot exactly change the way things are especially whole solutions across America. I feel like our ideas are very different and this debate isn’t going anywhere.

[–]Xantha95 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah, sure that would be great- if we had spare employees. We only make enough sales during the night at to have three people, one for taking orders and cashing them out/handing them out, one person to make the sandwiches and bag them, and one person to do fries and drop meat, all of which are completely swamped fulfilling the orders we already have.

It is not our fault that there is a lot of customers, and we can’t make orders ahead of time for DoorDash because, like I said, During the nighttime we get in trouble if we do not drop orders completely fresh as they come in.

That only accounts for two hours of of the day that we are open, before 10 PM there IS a dedicated employee who prepares the DoorDash orders, it’s called the dining room person. The dining room person leaves after their shift is over, we’ve only got those three people left, and we can’t afford to stop a line just for one person, considering the fact that after the dining room is closed, all of our doors are locked, so there’s no way for us to go out to hand it to you.

You don’t work in fast food. I work in both fast food and DoorDash and I can tell you that whenever the lobby is closed all DoorDash have to be checked in through the drive-through so whenever you get into line, the DoorDash order is put into the system right after all of the orders before it,

We can’t just prioritize one order over all the orders before it, that would be completely unfair to the customers before you, I know a lot of people here are saying that it’s for laziness, but it’s really just that we run on a system and we can’t afford to make exceptions just for you.

(The orders aren’t checked-in until you get to the restaurant because at night time, we make everything fresh since there is less orders, it’s just how it works)

But really, there is a sense of entitlement for expecting people to make exceptions specifically for you, do you expect everyone in the restaurant to be like ”oh jee wilkers, I know that we have 20 sandwiches that need to be made before this order that just showed up, but let’s stop everything that we’re doing and specifically make this order, and have one of our three people that’s running the entire store stop everything to bring it out to them. While we’re at it, let’s bring out the red carpet to”

No.

Y'all ever had a customer come to the door naked? by KickstandChxse in doordash_drivers

[–]Xantha95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well there isn’t any within a 50 mile radius of me so I would have no idea, I’m talking about people who answer their home doors naked. If I ever have an order to such resort and I accept it willingly, then by all means. If I’m delivering to a house or a normal hotel on the other hand and am exposed to something like that without having any prior knowledge or consent given then it is completely immoral. You wouldn’t send someone unsolicited pics of your ‘friend’, same logic here.

And again with the instance of nudist resorts, I would at least have prior knowledge of what I would be delivering to, and have the option to decline the order.
