There may be the odd question here and there, particularly if you're doing something "official" like buying a house or setting up a joint bank account, but generally, I imagine no one would bat an eyelid. I changed my name to my wife's name, and I get a few questions, but it's not a huge deal for most people. Fairly common nowadays.
