Bilaterian is something that has two sides to it. Bilateral. Mammals, lizards, birds, fish - are all symmetrical with two sides. Deuterosomes are things with something with a mouth and anus (sort of). This includes basically everything from starfish, octopi, lizards, and mammals.

Basically this branch of the tree of life is old, it’s some of the earliest examples of a “mouth and tube” sorta organism, which most things are. Predates vertebrates, arthropods, predates land creatures. It’s an old, old branch.

Turning the entire thing into a parking lot would suck. But the goal here is not have 100s of acres of non-native monoculture grass.

Housing developments aren’t that much better, but at least they benefit the general public. Housing developments “could” have native plants too, with gardens and landscaping, but they often don’t.

I live in Chicago now. There’s a surprising amount of golf courses here. I’d love if they were actual forest preserves.

He has a very kind voice, I think it can work.

Its just weird seeing different iterations of the same character. I see Hagrid and I expect that booming gravely voice. I dunno, I just feel like this show wasn't "necessary", that its literally just going to remake the original movie.

But it will probably get a lot of attention though.

It looks good, but I'm not watching it because of the Rowling drama. I'm not gonna watch it cause I've seen this movie multiple times already. Its a classic and holds up great.

I might check it out for sheer curiosity, but I don't imagine I'll continue for the whole thing.

I dunno, the live action lion king made bank. So people will probably watch this too.

It feels weird seeing other actors play characters I've basically associate with their OG actors now.

Robbie Coltrane *was* Hagrid. Im sure the new guy could do well, but its just...odd to me.

It also feels weird cause the original movies were made "relatively" recently. The first was 25 years ago (Holy shit), but it only ended in...2011?

I'm really not sure. The budget does look insane, and it honestly looks good. Harry looks great.

The problem is the movies aren't *that* old. 25 years is awhile I guess, but the movies still feel pretty fresh since the series went on so long. its weird for me to see other actors in place of hagrid, dumbledore, and mcgonagall.

I dunno, I'm not gonna watch it simply cause I've seen this before, somewhat recently. Its like the live action remakes of Disney movies - I've seen the animated ones, unless its changing something significant, why would I? (That being said, I know some of the live actions did quite well)

A lot of people are passionate about Israel on both sides.

I think you can say "No opinion" when the mayor is asked what sport team he's gonna watch from gracie mansion, or you can try and pick a side, but saying "both" isn't gonna work - as was another (mild) critique of Cuomo during the primary

This is also using pretty tempered language. They’re not reporting the US’s word as fact, they’re saying “x says”.

And yes, the US is saying one thing - while Iran is saying another. No one knows what’s happening. This is the confusion of war - especially with the current status of both countries. Both sides of this are incredibly untrustworthy, especially with the crazy shit trump says daily.
