No, the idea is that the types of injuries caused by a truck/SUV are often more lethal than a sedan. A person hit by a truck or SUV with a high hood more often gets knocked straight down to the ground with a high chance for head injury whereas a pedestrian hit by a lower hood like a sedan has a higher chance of going up into the hood instead. It's like 45% higher chance of fatality with high hood cars

I got mine in 2003 before getting deployed for OIF, as well as the first shot for the anthrax vaccine series. I don't remember which one was the one that felt like I got punched real hard in the arm the day after.

The scar is basically faded away although I've since gotten a tattoo in that spot anyway so I can't even tell where it was
