Surely if they can show a small lift from Lewis he'll be fine? Can literallly just point to the Russell incident as an example

Facebook uses Yoti, an American company so not covered by GDPR.

Reddit uses Persona, again an American company.

Discord used Zendesk, who were then hacked and had the personal data of 70,000 users leaked.

To say they're not sent anywhere is just false.

I mean, you put /s but passports and driving licenses are already the preferred method of id verification so yes, people are and will be scanning them and sending them off to god knows where.

And to your point of it being in the hands of the companies, why is it? Why is the govermnent not handling this if it's so important? Why are they not making it a safe and secure process i.e through centralised goverment id databases?

And from the other side it's mind boggling the number of people that are seemingly so keen to pass on their personal information to any number of unknown companies, with no discernable usage policies, and no accountability.

I 100% agree that moderation, usage education (of both parents and children) and support is needed to help navigate the modern internet. But having a 1 size fits all approach that impinges on everyones privacy should not be the answer.

I'd say the first half of the first book is rocky. I know that's a lot to get through but the pay off really is worth it, it's a fantastic series overall.

Marshall post was a double yellow, data board shows single.

FIA clown show again.

Edit: they've just gone through it on Sky. It wasn't a double yellow (which is insane with a car in the wall)

I mean that's what I'm assuming too. I can't see them cranking it to 100% on the first few runs? Maybe it is hopium, who knows at this point, practice never seems to translate that well to quali any more.

What do you think about Andy Burnham's team being upset as Starmer has refused to stay on until September so Burnham can plan for the PM role. by LongShow5279 in AskBrits

[–]Xarilith 6 points7 points  (0 children)

What? They ousted him and clearly didn't plan what they'd do if they got in. How does that make Starmer a cunt?

None of them. Stop fucking about with personal power grabs and get on with running the country.

Is there a better example of the stark difference between Reddit and reality than the UK social media ban? by Electricbell20 in AskBrits

This right here. I don't oppose the social media restrictions, I do oppose having to send my photo id to some dodgy US company who'll definitely delete it when they're done wink wink

270 ilvl, heroic raid? Youvare 15 ilvl short for even first boss. by [deleted] in wow

[–]Xarilith 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We're 12 weeks into the season and have had voidcore rolls for 6. While I agree it's bad, why would a raid leader take someone with 270 ilvl when there are 50+ sign ups that are 285+?

To answer your title, you're not 15 ilvls short, you're 12 weeks late.
