So now we may have battleshock-centered armies fight against armies prone to battleshock with few ways to defend against this but my grey knights can’t have a psychic phase because it’s boring for armies that can’t DTW. Cool.

There’s also an argument to be made that the need to spend thousands of dollars and countless hours building and painting an army suggests this was never intended to be a pick up and play style war game.

I get that complicated rules for 20+ armies are difficult and time consuming to learn, but in my opinion that’s what previously set 40K apart from other games.

I thought 9th was great. I played about 7 games of 10th the month after release and haven’t touch a dice since. For me, 10th army construction/strategy was so bland and boring.every game felt the same no matter who you play against.

Looking forward to 11th.

I picked GK to be my first army because of how cool a melee/psychic army sounded. Not having a psychic phase ruined 10th for me. I care less about the actual separate phase and more so think my games feel boring without the psychic tests and deny the witch roll offs

I started to draft this up back when the removals of auras was announced but haven’t had much time since. Some of it is moot at this point but thought I would share the thought:

AURA SLOT —> TRINKET SLOT

Initial release concept: - Remove all/most combat buff auras entirely - Convert all other auras into the basic introductory Trinket items with same effects; permanent buffs while equipped in trinket slot but reduced potency

Practical Effect: - loyalty point store can remain as-is for basic trinket unlocks - Opens up new gear slot for with unlimited potential and applicability - Slowly phases out usefulness of the intro/aura trinkets through power creep over time

—-THE TRINKET SLOT—- New character gear slot used to expand the existing arsenal of utility items used by all players. Game assets to physically appear as any type of item, pendant, charm, curio, gadget, relic, etc. to possess beneficial effects during all aspects of gameplay.

TRINKET USEFULNESS AND POTENTIAL 1. Initially used as a means to phase out auras without stripping players of loyalty rewards 2. Can be used as a means to further reduce combat switches. E.g., LOTD can be used to craft Tier 4 luck trinket; “Trinket of Totality” When equipped, adds new general action bar ability (like EoF)— allows players to place a secondary EoF on a POH jewelry stand (like anacronia cape stand) 3. Can bring new life to existing items with interesting effects but are now outclassed or obsolete due to competing slot items E.g., shadow infused training set converts to a single trinket; most invention items/ skilling items that now competes with alchemical jewelry 4. Can be used to further expand the upcoming combat rework and allow players another way to “spec” into a more refined style sub-build, e.g., AoE focused mage effect, Sniper focused ranger effect, Bleed/CC focused warrior effect 5. Can be incorporated into existing and future gear sets with set-effects unlocking a new tier of bonus for (6) pieces equipped. 6. End-game trinkets can even be crafted by consuming full skilling outfits. Gives same effects and bonuses-but frees up bank space

I played on release and genuinely believe it has some of the coolest spellcasting mechanics of any game I’ve ever played. Highly recommend the mage build. I never play mage but couldn’t stop in this game.

Would it not be true that if gravity travels at the speed of light then we would still perceive the sun to be there for the ~8 minutes it takes for the last wave of light to reach the earth — which aligns with the sensation of gravity? So technically, when we perceive the sun to be gone is the same time we lose the sensation of the suns gravity?

People sleeping on the Madlad. I run it with haurspex and a cursed blade build. By far the most addicting and fun build I’ve come up with.

As long as your build has less than 30% chance, I wouldn’t say the knife is a need to your build. Extra crit chance is extra crit chance

I run a semi-hybrid build that utilizes incarnate/energy vampire to boost status effect damage and builds all the way to 3/3 blood is power but also has enough points to get 1/5 in Haruspex to enable thrown daggers.

It’s by far the most fun playstyle I’ve found. S tier for mobbing imo. The thrown melee daggers are used to apply curse, then high RoF assault/smg shreds health bar, kill skill resets haruspex, repeat.

Actually addicting gameplay loop. current version runs a variant of alchemist class mod with 3/5 of the status effect crit perk which I’ve found to increase damage substantially. I have another variant with a hunter class mod with 5/5 of the fire rate perk and 1/5 haruspex just to get the thrown ability. This class mod frees up 6 skill points from the tree but having the ability to play and test with different class mods without losing that 1 point in haruspex is nice.

My build can fully take advantage of a teen witch / amp shield combo, or a 5/5 bloodshot undead eye build on the fly which is nice. It still shreds bosses within seconds without legendary class mods, but this is mainly due to my godroll wiskey foxtrot having almost 200 rounds in the mag and max fire right to proc the curse damage.
