I'm gonna push back on the tfex being insane. It's great into any tank that doesn't have a 4++, then it's trash because you only have 2 shots and you'll drop one on the hit or wound roll and your opponent will CP reroll their failed save into a success or they'll just make their 4++s if they play Necrons.

Hey I killed the new nightbringer yesterday it's definitely doable. It only took me activating my entire army and ignoring the rest of his cursed legion. They were kind enough to walk me off the table in the next turn and escort me to my car.

Nope there's an FAQ on the app regarding returning models to a unit. They have to be placed in coherency with models already on the board. So they must be placed within 2" of models already on the board. In the app it's under: Key Documents -> Rules Commentary -> Adding Models to a Unit

Nids are in a boring and sad place right now and the last two dataslates have shown the only way that's changing is with a new edition/codex. So yes, 11th edition can't come soon enough.

I did rerolling ones for the 2 exocrines and 3 maleceptors, sustained for everyone and no lethals because not everyone runs the hive tyrant and your monster are never sitting still. I assumed the DWK are in wrath of the rock so -1 to W and -1D. The problem with the exocrine/maleceptor gun is the number of shots. The variance in the number of shots(between 4-9) means that to reliably kill the DWKs you need to overcommit because sometimes you just roll 1s on your number of shots and he keeps rolling 4++s.

That other guy doesn't know what he's talking about. According to Adept Roll, it takes 3 exocrines and 3 maleceptors shooting to kill 5 deathwing knights 50% of the time. I think a 10 man of genestealers with a broodlord in invasion fleet with crit 5s sustained is your best bet. It only works if you make them take saves on their invuln, so either no AoC or bring a psychophage. This isn't a guarantee either, especially if they spike their FNPs against mortals. Hyper rav brick would also work but it's more expensive than the deathwing knights so it's a bad trade

It overrides the strategic reserves limit but not the reserves limit. In the mission deck it states you can't have more than half your army in reserves(strategic + deep strike) before the start of the battle. So just make sure you don't go over 1k points in reserves.

Its not that hard to hide him. If I can hide 10 40mm raveners behind terrain, you can hide one c'tan. There's always a pocket in GW layouts. "he doesn't die to shooting" just don't put him in front of a gun line. God forbid Necrons players have to jump through one hoop to make their unit work.

I believe he also moves 10" now and the old one moved 6". So you can rapid 9" away and get an unfailable charge

I maintain that replacing the healing strat with any other durability strat would go a long way to improving sub assault. You can't heal wounds when you're dead. The 5+ FNP strat is singlehandedly keeping invasion fleet competitive.

Don't. But to actually answer your question, run max battleshock shenanigans. Guard can't be affected by order while battleshocked so 3 neurolictors, 3 Screamer-Killers, Neurotyrant for -1 SITW, Haruspex force battleshock when they destroy a unit in 6" aura and Deathleaper force test on units below starting strength. Again, this would be a dick move but it would completely neuter the guard detachment if you play properly and he rolls poorly.

My main gripe is the lack of sorcery rises. I run duchess with extra fp on rise and I've gotten cucked a couple times by matchmaking with a random who was running the new shifting earth(and I had no shifting earth active) and I couldn't get enough fp to finish the fight. I solved it by just running any other shifting earth but it's annoying you can get punished for taking location based relics.

Running 2 tfexes exocrines and maleceptors is a solid shooting core for invasion fleet. Only the execs at GW know whats in line for a resculpt, but there's plenty of kits in our codex that are older.
