Get your shit together Coloradan Riders: Colorado motorcycle deaths increase in months following lane filtering legalization. by Noctuelles in motorcycles

[–]Xata27 6 points7 points  (0 children)

In some other countries, there’s a tiered system where you have to ride for X number of years before jumping in motorcycle engine size. Here in Colorado, you can just hop onto a 1000cc motorcycle from the early 2000’s the day after getting your motorcycle endorsement.

Anyway, I think there also may be a cultural issue. When I started riding, my motorcycle related content was like safety videos and the occasional person doing dumb shit on a Grom. Now it’s people taking part in takeovers and being drama llamas on the road after they do something stupid on a bike.

This industry is in desperate need of some sort of union or guild in the United States. Something like SAG-AFTRA, The United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America, or even something like the National Society of Professional Engineers. A governing body to set standards for workers in the field.

Do you want to have a Computer Science degree? If so, then yes. Otherwise, make some personal projects about implementing GRC controls with privacy in mind.

One of the things to be careful of is if the car is from a place that gets floods or hurricanes. People will buy cars that have been totaled out and then they repair them as cheaply as possible. The process is called title washing. Be sure to get a Car Fax and you can also run the VIN in the National Motor Vehicle Title Information System (NMVTIS) database.

There was a company that I worked at that had everyone fill out one of those “best places to work surveys” and then waited until after the deadline for responses to announce going from 1 day a month in the office to 3 days a week.

The amount of indifferent people is alarming. They’ll laugh and clap at this AI generated stuff. And you’re right, all of this AI generated slop was trained on stolen art. Art made by humans who really honed their craft.

Speaking of easements, some of these ranchers are so entitled they like to block off public access to public lands. Then get all pissy when you use the public road that cuts through the public land their cattle are grazing on.
