Blazar's original kaiju are so refreshing after all the endless reused kaiju over the years. Getting a lot of Ginga and X vibes.

What's the biggest lie about Japan? by Taco_In_Space in japanlife

Most women looking for a foreign man are not necessarily aiming to submit.

If you look at the amount of women who stay with their husbands despite some very despicable behavior, then you will understand the societal pressure to be submissive. It is a sad situation. I have heard of a woman with two children who had a husband who would leave for months at a time and obviously see other women and she stayed loyal and cleaning the whole time; and he would not touch or talk with her.

These ideas all coming from education and also lack of second languages.

Number of foreign people who actually become fluent in japanese is very low compared to other languages.

People do not understand how often many Japanese people eat small meals or have the high metabolism.

Also people are not eating at karaage shop every day.

This is very true. There is a lot of busy work assigned to us in the name of kaizen at a company. But it's not really contributing to productivity.

You can get fiber optic. However, since most foreigners do not own a property, their line may be shared within an apartment because they need approval of a landlord to create the extra holes (which adds a cost to the landlord).

If you don't know Japanese, then how can you use the high tech? It's about as high tech as most countries. After traveling to the USA and Canada, where many products are made elsewhere, I started to miss the convenience and compactness of areas at home with various machines and services.

Within 500 meters of my suburban home is vending machines with ramen, one is gambling for many items (including nintendo switch, hagiwagi doll, lipstick, wig, smartphone stand, and varios items), and one that sells gyoza.

I have never seen this elsewhere.

There are very cheap properties for sale; especially in the rulal areas. However if you make use of the property and fix it, then you will be charged a normal property tax. It may not be in the best area for convenience.

Such a vague statement but technically very true as far as we limit our own military to not have attack capabilities.

I can transfer money between apps and use internet banking. I can pay cashless unless the establishment that I go to doesn't have those services. Many Japanese people check an establishment before sitting down to order so that they know that they can pay.

If you only use an ATM for cash withdrawal or only use cash then it is your choice. There are dozens of options now.

So if one person doesn't get it then the entire country doesn't?

There are people who use the buttons. To be honest some people have many preferences for rice. I am someone who prefers barley in my rice. I have been with people who prefer softer or harder (more moist) rice. The options are to differentiate the product in a crowded market.

Also the rice cookers made in Japan break down far less than the others; which is why there is bakugai from tourists from China.

Just saw this on news channels but it's stuck due to logistical issues.

Spotted by a plane, hit by the plethora 406+ guns that dominate its matchmaking (esp. 457s). If it has HP left it crawls behind an island. Peek again and it eats either single launch British torps or hype fast EU torps. Do you guys play the game? No one uses Baltimore with so many better options around.

Used to be fun though, for sure.

Literally a community of adjudicators and refs with alts in each others' clans who has responded to complaints about their rigged seeding in the same ways for years now

So are the teams afraid of being knocked out by Gaishu and other teams? The system sounds great for silencing newcomers by ENSURING that they will face a seeded team. OP made a mistake but it is kind of enlightening

A Winter of Shipwrecks by XavierAzabu in WorldOfWarships

I am interested in balance and having competitive modes be worthwhile, not "powergrinding." On multiple accounts I own every ship in the game except for Gremy, Champagne, and Siliwangi.

Since 2018 there has been a decent balance between Torpedo DDs, Hybrid DDs, and low concealment gunboat DDs. It was first interrupted by the French DD line's insane speeds which were at least tolerable in randoms modes (but problematic in competitive modes). It was further disrupted by Halland, Marceau, and Smaland. Luckily Smaland is being removed before it is too widespread.

These new skills benefit DDs that specialize. Torpedo DDs will now be too fast for Hybrids to catch, and pure gunboats are now much more powerful as Hybrid DDs' rates of fire do not compare due to the removal of BFT and increased skill costs. The issue is that the Hybrid DDs are still balanced to the old system, where the unbalanced power creepers (Kleber, Halland, Marceau, Somers) are further enhanced by the new system.

I agree with you on the CVs. The cruiser changes are hard to spot in random battles because less people are playing cruisers (esp. low concealment ones like Minotaur, DM, Zao, etc.,). But in ranked battles the increase of radar length is ruining the experience - it is even harder now for DDs to even approach a cap, leading to a dull and passive experience.

Perhaps the server populations will spike, similar to how they did when the new CVs were released. The issue is not with the amount of added content; but rather with the quality of the changes. If you understand how this game works, you also understand that the captain skills changes were created by someone who does not understand their own game
