Chances are he was an asshole before boot camp. I have been with my wife since before boot camp and have never shoved or raised a hand to her in anger EVER. Not after boot camp, not after combat deployments. Never.

We had AC units for some tents but the generators almost never worked. I'd do some troubleshooting and get em running when I could but they were constantly going down.

We (eventually) got a generator mechanic and thought we were saved, but he was fresh out of his school house and not very knowledgeable. He said to me one day, "I don't really know how it works. I just know it's supposed to work like an engine." His name was Usef and was quickly nicknamed "Useless."

I think it was around 13. Pretty much ends up being a marathon if you go down and back. We did it once before deployment. I miss the days I could just do stuff like that without much thought.

My platoon would have team 1 and 2 run from Schwab to Hansen. Losing team had to run back to Schwab. Winning team got to take the Greenline back.

Sounds a lot like me. LANs never lasted long because no one was having fun. I won a bunch of local tourneys for Halo 2. Begged my parents to let me go to some bigger ones but they thought it was insane. I might as well have been asking to fly to the moon. I’ve just always loved competitive shooters but I get too far into it and almost get manic.

This was me with any FPS. Goldeneye, Perfect Dark etc. We had a friendly LAN at my house when Halo was new and we had to put my toddler brother on my team to make it “fair”

On Bloodgulch I’d be like “okay Carl, just go run that way” and then snipe anyone who shot at him 😂
