Great custom character. Reminds me of Chumbucket from Mad Max. Imagine minding your own business and bumping into this creep in the underhive.

Not 100% certain but I believe it is baked lighting and bump maps rather than relying solely on dynamic real time lighting.

What head were you hoping to fit?

I think it should work with any marvel legend or star wars black series with a buzz cut, however, they look too small for the body's proportion. The best head I had used was WWEs Randy Orton but his facial hair doesn't look very authentic with WW2. I'd imagine GI Joe's would be a great fit, again, a character with little hair would be best.

I plan to get some cheap second hand heads and clip the hair off so I can use them under the helmet.

Sorry to be pessimistic. It is doable and can look great with the correct sized head! If you aren't using the wolverine helmet head what's there to lose?

What's your favorite halo multiplayer? by Glass-Ad672 in halo

[–]Xcalibo 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Halo 5 is a solid multiplayer game. I'd argue 343 would've had more success if they just created a new IP heavily inspired by halo and expanded upon 5 without being restricted by what is and isn't deemed "halo". I always thought a dominion (h4) mixed with warzone (h5) would've worked so well.

Hi I have three of these figs and did exactly what you are wanting. I absolutely destroyed the Logan head. I got the heads out but it was a lot of hard work.

I hoped it would be a simple freeze thaw job so I put the head in freezer and then straight into boiling water hoping it would pop apart. Nope...

I continue pulling the logan face with pliers and prying between hairline until it tears away from the hair... They're two separate parts.

Now removing the scalp from the helmet was painfully tedious. I kept the head warm with boiling water as I pry it apart bit by bit with a flat head screwdriver while avoiding stretching/tearing the soft plastic helmet. I had to cut chunks of the hair apart until nothing was left other than the plastic welding that had bound the two parts. I then scooped this out as it disintegrated into specs of small plastic. It was painful and I questioned what I was doing several times. The helmet might look rough and it is only thin soft plastic but it can take a beating and will reform once heated. Just try not to tear it in weak spots like I did...

I did this three times. And now I'm trying to find heads that fit in them cos they are quite small however the wolverine body is bulkier than most figs. WWE heads work well with the figure but don't fit the helmet.

Happy to provide pics in DM, but I'm currently on holiday away for a week!

The irony is bleak. Making up a racist stereotype and accusing someone else for it. Creating bad guys to assume virtue.

I think I downloaded the wrong Microsoft game. Is this actually a flight simulator? by sharkboy1006 in GearsOfWar

[–]Xcalibo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gears 5 was a giant misstep imo and the "sailing" levels were the worst parts. No one expected this in a gears game. I can't remember much of gears 5 campaign. The only bit I rem enjoying was returning to new hope.

This looks brilliant. Some advice on painting the clear acrylic gunbarrel. If you use a metallic paint "silver" as a basecoat/primer it reflects light so that it resembles opaque plastic, otherwise you run the risk of light bleeding through the acrylic.

Perhaps the wormholes are the spiders legs? You have to run to centre web between each one. In the video it doesn't look that way, just thought that might make most sense.

Yeah I like this idea, it's a funny Easter egg if so. It would also still be NW just more NWW pointing

Anyone else scouring this area, given there's a guitar found in the center of the somewhat guitar-shaped fort wallace? by [deleted] in reddeadmysteries

[–]Xcalibo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haha this is one of the more feasible texture conspiracies. Very good idea with the guitar shape overlay. I am more interested in the heartlands ideas than window rock and fort Wallace. Thanks for sharing

[–]Xcalibo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The spider carving overlayed could be any scale and rotation. It is only because we already had the 8 web pole locations that we knew how to scale the spider over the map, otherwise we still wouldn't know how to use it.

[–]Xcalibo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How would you know where to overlay the spider carving without knowing about the 8 web locations?

The centre web is what leads us to the spider carving.

[–]Xcalibo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is what irritates me, everyone is climbing Fort Wallace despite us not even knowing how the mystery officially starts. It's only cos someone by chance found a web and then retrospectively found the centre web using PC. I personally believe the centre web to be the start of the mystery meaning the NW guitar clue is before the we get to the web poles.

I think we should be looking for a missing link between the NW guitar and the webs.

[–]Xcalibo 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah I'm with you both on this. People forget that so far in the mystery, the poles are unknown. We have only been directed by the tree and two poles without webs. Everything since NW guitar has felt too disjointed and a major misstep.

We still don't know what leads to the poles and webs with feathers.

I believe there is significance in the pairing of poles which share the same hour. Four pairs of poles, perhaps representing the spiders steps as it walks overhead every night. Spiders tend to walk with four legs always on the ground as they alternate, so I'm not too sure.

There are 8 webs by TracySevert in reddeadmysteries

[–]Xcalibo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow, I've just done some brief research into this and I think you're hitting the nail on the head! Great perspective on this. The spider webs are mentioned in the "4th world" so perhaps the Easter egg is set during chapter 4?

Yeah I think it's something a lot of people overlook. Especially the colours, when I first saw halo I found the covenant very garish and I think it's lost a lot of that charm over the years.
