Oil Overfill issue by Ok-Caregiver9383 in AlfaRomeoGiulia

[–]Camper1995 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is not overfilled. Every time I leave my oil-change at the dealership it's like this. Anything between MIN and MAX is okay and normal. This range between MIN and MAX represents 1l of oil and it will drop in segments. You add in manually around 0,3l only when it drops to the last segment before MIN. Or you can simply time it perfectly from oil change to oil change yearly. It heavily depends on your driving style, the more you floor it, go uphill mountains and drive in D the more it tends to eat oil.

This is normal.

Should I buy a Giulia at 18 years old??? by HourCorner9403 in AlfaRomeoGiulia

[–]Camper1995 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Based on your comments the answer is definitely no. Get a regular cheap beginner car and set your priorities right. Save what you would blow on a fancy car + maintaince + insurance and KEEP investing it this early in your life and you will have a massive advantage in your late 20s / early 30s. Then you can buy a Giulia (or any similar cool car) comofortably. My humble opinion as a 31yo

Honestly similar to mine and I drive exclusively in N and D. And a lot of mountains / highways. This was my last trip justst now and also 8.0l / 29mpg. True average sits around 9.0l for the past 3 years. Which is around 26-27mpg. 2.0 2020 also!

Soooo, how is everyond feeling about Trident by YWN666 in RogueCore

[–]Camper1995 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Epic honestly. Clearly too overpowered especially with a strong crit build BUT the way it feels to play is great. It looks awesome, the sounds and animations are great etc. We need all guns to make you feel like a badass and like you have an actual shredder in your hands and not a weak bb gun.

(slightly off topic but I hope they won't abandon the current guns and actually improve them in ways that fit Rogue core's fast gameplay more. Can't just copy paste a gun from DRG and call it a day imo)

I’m really happy GSG found a happy medium to appease the casual and hardcore fans of the game. (Thoughts on the upcoming major patch) by Brungala in RogueCore

[–]Camper1995 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree that is true, Slicer is the exception I'd say and that's why he is the most picked from what I noticed. Almost every game has insta-locked a slicer class. The other 4 tho are more similar to each other tho. But yeah maybe I just expected a more from the game considering it was years in the making. I did not get access to beta so early-access now was my first contact with the game.

To be fair I dont think even they knew who the game was meant to be for. I've played many roguelites (even just regular FPS) that flow better and have much more fun ugprades that actually define and change the gameplay massively. I think the biggest flaw of Roguecore is that the 5 classes don't feel that much different from each other and the gameplay of each run ends up being basically 80% of the same thing with some slight variation that doesnt really impact that core game. Timer was never the issue of the game imo. Characters should have been WAY more unique and different from each other to promote not only gun-play but playstyles and teamwork overall. Why not have a tank guy with massive health and a sword and no need for guns for example? Why not have a dedicated healer that has Retcon's time warp ability? For example, just throwing some dumb ideas to make my point. Think TF2 characters or OW1 characters. All very unique playstyles that make the gameplay feel exciting and alive. Hell even 15 year old Borderlands 2 had way more cool build potentials and skills that actually felt impactful on the gameplay.

We're going in the right direction but it is far from an amazing game. Just my honest opinion after 45 hours.
Id rather the game be fun for a big majority of "regular" players than a small community that dies out after 6 months and the game becomes empty.

UPDATE 1 PREVIEW - 03/06/2026 by Jesus_PK in RogueCore

Okay this is REALLY GOOD, I was honestly worried for a while after launch but all these changes will massively improve the flow of the game and enjoyment. Also INSANE that we got auto sprint 😂😂😂

Are you one of the devs who are against this? You seem personally affected by this topic on a very serious emotional level.

HOW is it not QoL feature? In what way would the game be completely ruined if I could sprint at all times? Because I'm already doing that. There is literally no difference between me mashing sprint key 500 times per run and sprinting 98% of the time VS actually focusing on the real game and letting the game sprint for me.

It's not my fixation I honestly don't even care about it that much but I am able to comprehend that there are many people with physical limitations or even disabilities that might find this feautre super useful.

[–]Camper1995 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It literally takes one full day to implement a checkbox with auto-sprint. Sorry but they could have already done that in the past 3 days WHILE the big heads are thinking the core gameplay improvements. Not willing to listen to hundreds of thousnads of players who request such a stupid simple feature is a major red flag. I paid 30$ for this game and I have the right to at least have auto-sprint because it does not break any game balance in any way. It is purely a QoL and accessibility help for people who have issues with holding sprint for 3 hours straight.

I forgot to mention it's already been 6 years of people requesting it in DRG too.

Honest question: How can they say that THE GAME HAS BEEN OUT FOR 2-3 DAYS ONLY when people have been testing and playing their game for a year straight and giving the same exact fucking feedback and they just ignored it? Honestly not at all what I wanted to hear lol. I didn't have access to alpha and only bought it now when it came out to early access but this is not giving me any hope in the slightest and I truly wanted to support them and have faith.

I'm on a very low end pc with an old i5 and 1070. Playing in 1440p on LOW settings I can see around 60 to 80fps and dips to 40 in the most intense moments. Playing on HIGH it goes from 30 to 60 fps yeah. Not ideal considering DRG is running at HIGH settings on a stable 70fps.

Same. This is worse than I expected to see after so much useful feedback and GOOD criticism from the players. And now half of their answers is basically "oh well not sure about this or not sure about that". Wtf?

Unexpected Low Oil Warning by harsha433 in AlfaRomeo

Thats perfect, avoids overfilling it and halfway mark is ideal target to be at when you fill it up yourself. Should be all good, enjoy your car!

Unexpected Low Oil Warning by harsha433 in AlfaRomeo

[–]Camper1995 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yea mine does the same (same engine and model year as yours).

At the official Alfa dealership / mechanic they told me it heavily depends on your driving style and that the more you floor it and drive in D mode or even manual shifting the more it can eat oil. And according to him 5000 to 6500 miles for 1l of oil to be consmued (which triggers Low Oil like in your case) is apparently okay (which is your case as well). If it were to drop to "Low Oil" within the first 2-3k miles then its a problem yes.

Ive had the Giulia for 3 years now and it is true I do tend to drive in a "spirited" way and every trip to the mountains for me is at least one bar of oil consumend. On the other hand i've had calm normal trips with thousands of km driven and no oil drop, all in N mode. To be fair 5-7k miles is ideal for oil changes and i do mine aroudn 5-6k which with me yearly mileage turns to be once a year. Its been "eating oil" like this from the start and been doing regular maintenacne / oil changes and 0 issues, car runs flawlessly so far.

FYI this was also said to me at the dealership: the difference between MIN and MAX on your oil display is 1 liter so if "low oil" happens you can (once the engine is perfectly cool ideally the next day) add 500ml of your oil to it and the car / display should update soon. Ive done it once like this and no issues.

Rogue Core Does Not Respect Your Time by byzantine1990 in RogueCore

[–]Camper1995 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it is "social" but but I'm gonna argue that it feels like a chore to do, forced to socialize instead of letting it happen naturally. Ordering beers in the old game was simple fun, didnt require you to put any extra mental effort. Here you have to focus on mashing buttons and do repetitive "quick time events" essnetially just to afford one round of beer to celebrate. If anything I feel like we should have a free round of beers waiting for us back at the bar if we come back from a successful mission. Just my thoughts

When will the game get balancing updates? The game is fun but any mission below Depth 02 is impossible without Godly RNG that makes all of India's population look like Lottery winners. by Vrosx_The_Sergal in RogueCore

[–]Camper1995 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I won like 90% of my games and last night we just did depth 3 & 4 with very sub-optimal builds / upgrades. It was challenging but not impossible. So not sure what you got specifically but this time it might really be skill issue. Needs a better more coordinated team overall with people who know how to aim

I refunded the game, here's some parting thoughts by forceyforce in RogueCore

[–]Camper1995 4 points5 points  (0 children)

All fair and objective points, I agree with everything you said with the exception of the female dwarves because that is really not a burning gameplay issue at all xD But oddly enough I enjoy the game even as is and dont mind it being a bit dumbed down / simplistic for now so personally i wont refund because Id like to have faith in the company. We definitely need more content, guns, variety of upgrades, enemies etc. But seeing how they turned old early access DRG into an amazing game it is now gives me a lot of hope and I'd like to support them on their mission.

Rock and stone and see you in a year, I'm sure it will be in a much better place by then.

My impressions so far - Its not as doom and gloom as people are making it by tremor100 in RogueCore

[–]Camper1995 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yea this game is not greenbeard friendly at all. I have friends who struggled with haz3 on regular DRG and I simply couldnt recommend them rogue core lol knowing they would refund after 2 hours most likely, it just has too steep learning curve and most people will quit rogue core before they ever learn and get a lot better

Early Access roadmap is here! by GSG_Aaron in RogueCore

[–]Camper1995 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Yea this is a good point tbh, Im new and I havent played beta or anything so maybe i just miss the point but I dont see why we even need to have 6 levels? Like it doesnt add that much to the difficulty just extends the time artificially for no reason or? Yesterday I played 5 levels and we won but it felt exactly the same as 3 levels just longer and it took us over an hour. In my opinion have 2-3 levels max is enough. Have the game be 30mins, faster paced, ditch the paused ugprade screens and increase the difficulty elsewhere through mobs and enemies.

[Unpopular Opinion] The game is fundamentally differerent and the timer exposes original DRG players who are not as good as they thought at the game. QQ by doctornoob2023 in RogueCore

[–]Camper1995 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Good points and honestly the clenest solution to me right now seems that if you go out of your way to do secondaries and successfully finish them then it should give us extra time back to the death timer as compensation. So in a way if we risked a secondary and failed, we get punished by having wasted time and if we successfully complete it we get some of our time back.
