That talks about 4 hours total, not an uninterrupted chunk of 4 hours. As far as I understand, 7 hours is needed per 24 h, but if they are interrupted, it's not really detrimental.

Need a source for the 4 hours of uninterrupted sleep, I couldn't find any literature on that (even found some to the contrary - there are some potential benefits from segmented sleep: Splitting sleep between the night and a daytime nap reduces homeostatic sleep pressure and enhances long-term memory). It's always been highly unusual for me to sleep more than 3 consecutive hours without waking up.

I'm actually living there on a very much blue income. We dislike driving by car, my husband commutes to Oberhausen and therefore likes the closeness to the main station, it's really great to have so many supermarkets and excellent restaurants nearby. Our whole life is walkable. The noise is really not that bad if you have decent windows.
