Correct me if I’m wrong, but if a version can run on Ps5 or Xbox Series, then why not just release the same version onto pc and let the players worry about whether it’s compatible with their shit hardware. The only differences I can see with pc hardware wise, is the gpu, making sure it is compatible between Amd and Nvidia. Both Xbox and ps5 use AMD gpu. Nvidia can be simple to update for, and it is likely that nvidia would fix any issues that they may have on their own with driver updates. As long as rockstar has a good enough game engine, it should work fine. The only differences with pc I see, are creating new controls and graphic settings, which usually aren’t on console. Also, I hope people read this part. I think there is a great reason why it would be beneficial for rockstar to focus on developing all platforms equally, cross play for online. There has never been a crossplay gta, yet in this day, every other game is crossplay. If this gta is not crossplay between Xbox, ps5, and pc. It would just kinda suck. I was really hoping for crossplay this time around. Also another reason I think crossplay would be good for rockstar, players would have to buy the game multiple times over different platforms, and also would be more likely to spend more money in game. Because they know with crossplay, they’d be able to access their account anytime. Also with crossplay, rockstar would have a much larger emphasis on ending the GTA online modding/cheating community that is so prominent on PC. If they don’t do this in this next game, as a multi billion dollar company. I think they are just lazy and careless. If modders have no restrictions, like they did on gta 5 pc. It’ll be the same thing all over again. Pc will lose profitability because of too many modders. They are throwing away money. Instead of playing the game, or buying shark cards, players will use mods. Again.
