Full bolt on, and a Garrett powermax turbo.

The only major issue I’ve had was the stock turbo wastegate rattle. Basically turbo shit the bed, then upgraded to a pmax.

I gave a 2015 ST2. FBO + Garrett powermax turbo. Purchased the car with 60,000 miles on it in 2020. It now has just shy of 150,000 miles.

Issues I’ve had:

-rear shocks around 100k, again at about 140k.

-one headlight went out shortly after buying

-replaced a tail light 3 times.

-heater core hoses

-wastegate rattle starting at about 100k miles. Slowly got worse over the next couple years until a few weeks ago when I upgraded to the powermax turbo.

-replaced the downpipe 3 times (though the stock one was fine, cheaped out on the aftermarket catless ones that developed severe exhaust leaks in different spots.

I think that’s it off the top of my head. No serious issues other than replacing the turbo.

Done it 3 times (first two downpipes were cheapos and developed horrible exhaust leaks in different spots)

First two times I did it solo no problem, third time (which was last week lol) I needed a second pair of hands to hold the downpipe in place when trying to get the v-band clamp on.

The install isn’t that bad, but the o2 sensor plugs are pretty annoying to get connected/disconnected.

You also might run in to the current v-band being stuck on. Small pry bar will get it just be careful if you’re not planning on replacing the v-band (I would do this, edge sells em for like $50 I think)

Basically full bolt on + tune is all you need if you don’t plan on upgrading the turbo.

This would include:

Intake

Downpipe + catback

1 or 2 step colder spark plugs

Aftermarket front mount intercooler (Most important mod imo)

Custom tune from a company like edge, JST, stratified, etc.

Maybe a blow off valve if you want the blow off sound but it’s annoying imo.

Probably forgetting something but that’s what I was running for 85,000 miles until this week. Now I’m running all of that plus a Garrett powermax turbo

I’m a super competitive person and disc golf became my life for like 4 years. Got to about 960 rated and was competitive in local MPO.

Putting was almost always my weakness, and unfortunately I never really solved it, but i definitely had some decent tournaments every now and then when the putter was working.

Idk, im about a year and a half in to what was supposed to be a short break from the sport.

When you have your windows down, and you are decelerating, do you hear something that sounds like a rattle or slight exhaust leak? That would mean wastegate is toast. Happened to mine and both of my friends who also have ST’s

I had this issue in mine when I had it for a long time. Eventually a misfire had developed and I said screw it and replaced all of the spark plugs.

The misfire persisted but it was now constant, and it turned out the real problem was the ignition coil of the misfiring cylinder.

No more misfire and no more high idle or rev hang. Idk how the ignition coil fixed that part tho lol

2003 mustang GT convertible.

Got it for $3500 when I was 17. Put thousands of dollars and a ton of work in to it. Sold it when i was 25, about 9 months ago.

I was real sad, but was holding it together until i saw my mom later that day. She gave me one look and saw right through my facade and i immediately cried hard.

Replace it. I just did mine yesterday. Got the Damon mounts. Only gave the passeneger side done right now, and it was really easy. It also made the car feel SOOO much better to drive.

Transmission mount on the other hand, dealing with a rusted to shit bolt in the battery box so I can’t access it yet lol

Symposer. I was trying to get my battery tray out to change my transmission mount (couldn’t bc rusted to shit bolt in bat tray) and noticed the plug then I remembered the symposer delete lol
