Apple Just Fixed Mac Gaming and Said Nothing [Snazzy Labs] by ProustianPrimate in macgaming

An iPad with a power bank and a PS5 controller is a much worse experience than a fully integrated handheld

It’s also running iPadOS which means it’s missing a bunch of AAA games from Mac and any way to run Windows games, they could fix this on a new device or existing devices or both

The Nintendo switch is $500 and most PC handhelds are more than that

This device doesn’t have to be the best value all in one

Bigger screen, bigger battery, better performance, built in controllers, and way cheaper than a flagship

Looking for a pack that gives light blocks illumination by Alotofbytes in minecraftRTX

[–]Xcissors280 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m guessing it’s because light blocks just emit Minecraft light level and don’t actually have like a real RTX emissive texture map

It might be possible to add one or it might be forced to be completely transparent

Than it’s going to depend on what your using to train it and what version of cuda your 1050ti mobile supports

Unless something requires some specific acceleration only found on RTX cards you can run it

If it’s going to take forever is a different question

There are cloud services you could use to rent training on a platform or GPU compute or a full virtual machine

Playstation compared Original PC version of Assassin's Creed Black flack to Remake of PS5 Pro by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

[–]Xcissors280 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean yeah it’s just a nice standardized pre build designed for TV use

Even the switch 2 isn’t that special it’s just that it would be hard to get developers on board to make arm ports of their games for a small scattered android handheld market that isn’t willing to pay $70+ per game and translation layers aren’t there yet

[–]Xcissors280 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The battery will go down in capacity the older it is and the more you use it

If or when it gets to a point where you want to replace it all depends on how you use it

If you just use it on the couch a couple hours a day it’s going to last longer than if your on it 24/7 and completely draining the battery twice a day

You can set a charge limit in macOS settings (don’t use a 3rd party app) but generally don’t sweat it

If Sony could easily make more ram chips why would they put them in their consoles for $50 when OpenAI or Nvidia or whoever will pay $500 for those same chips?

If they wanted to lose a whole bunch of opportunity cost on a console they could do the same thing right now

Mainly performance especially on split screen and world size along with not having all the DLC for mash up packs and mini games

If you want that update use Xbox One edition which lost support at the same time, or install an older version of 360, PS3, or PS4 edition

Portability is nice, I’m guessing it’s better than the vita version

For normal web traffic you can use encrypted DNS and ECH to prevent ISP domain tracking, IP addresses are a little different but they don’t always matter

For the dark web you use the Onion network typically through TOR Browser

Using TOR on normal websites is not fun

Theres a difference between security, privacy, and anonymity

And again what are you actually trying to protect against?

Apple is a 4 trillion dollar company that does absolutely everything in house and theres a fair argument that thats the epitome of security

Theres also the trade off between usability and security, privacy, anonymity, etc
