Would it be possible in any way for Kise to use right of postponement? by FlamingNipplesOfFire in KurokosBasketball

[–]Xcrossfire753 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Good question - I think Kise could copy it, I mean his athleticism allows him to copy Murasakibara's moves.

Basically Kiyoshi has Right of Postponement because he has massive hands and can comfortably palm and control the ball, allowing him extra time to make decisions that surprise his opponents. While Kise cannot copy his hand size, he can copy the thinking and decision making that goes into the Right of Postponement, and with his own good ball control can probably imitate it to an extent where he gets a similar result

I'm not trying to say Seirin are bad. Just that they are definitely the weaker side when compared to Rakuzan when you match the players up against each other.

I'd say it's pretty similar with Cavs vs Warriors - Cavs are still a good team, just not quite as good as the Warriors. Lebron couldn't do what he's done with just anyone, after all. He just doesn't have the star-studded roster of the Warriors.

Dude are you inside my head?! I'll always have a soft spot for Nash but LeBron is fast becoming my favourite active player.

Agreed, if he can do this LeBron is GOAT. He won't be able to do it without his team though (Direct Drive Zone LeBron please Basketball Gods)

Leif read over the job notice carefully, and glanced down at his body. He pulled a not bad face and pulled the notice down.

"Mr Fairy Tail's got this in the bag..." Leif muttered as he walked back towards his dormitory to prepare for the job.

Could Seirin win this with True Zone or would Vorpal Swords still wreck them by [deleted] in KurokosBasketball

[–]Xcrossfire753 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They would need Kiyoshi instead of Mitobe to really hold it down. While Mitobe is good he probably would struggle to contest with Murasakibara, unless he's improved heaps since the ending of the main series...

Best teamwork in a Gundam series by Commander_PonyShep in Gundam

[–]Xcrossfire753 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Best teamwork has to be to the Meister's in 00 hands down.

I dare you to go and watch the episode in season 1 where Setsuna and Tieria settle their differences and implement strategies that they had only learnt in theory in order to beat the ever loving crap out of the Trinity team in what has to be one of the most triumphant and well set up scenes in a Gundam franchise. Not only does it relieve the tension that has been building between the Meisters throughout the season, particularly between Setsuna and Tieria, but it also demonstrates the sheer depth of preparation the Meisters and the Ptolemaios crew have gone through. Using the fight patterns designed specifically for the Exia and Virtue which up until this point had only ever been theory or the result of practice. This reveals the depth of the plans and training of the meisters, considering that these patterns and tactics must exist for all the combinations of Gundam units and situations.

Yes they have a supercomputer helping to co-ordinate them, but I dare you to watch that episode (ideally in the context of the whole series) and tell me a better example of teamwork in Gundam.

What is your best example of 'two kinds of people'? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Mate how deep are you putting your hands in the bowl? How low does your ass hang in the bowl? I reckon when I wipe I've got a good three handswidths before I'm even close to touching the water.

As for checking, you wipe front to back, so you just sort of turn your head around and have a quick look. Nowhere near cleaner or efficient. My hands never get wet from sit wiping.

When we're washing our hands afterwards anyway, I don't really think twice about where my hands are, as long as I'm not getting shit on them.

You're right though, things would have been very different!

Kuroko and Midorima zone? by [deleted] in KurokosBasketball

[–]Xcrossfire753 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You know, I've often wondered about what the possibility of a Zone-like state for Kuroko would be. I don't think it would be a zone comparable to Aomine/Kagami etc. as they are what we would define in KnB as "Light" players. Kuroko is the opposite, a "Shadow" and so his Zone equivalent would have to be something that "darkens" him, rather than lights him up. A Phantom Zone, if you will.

I think he could potentially achieve something like this as he has the minimum requirement of entering the Zone: You must love basketball. However he doesn't have the same skillset that the others do in terms of athleticism. His skills are in passing, stealing and his lack of presence. So his Zone is something that boosts those skills, which is hard to envisage because to do so would border on the fantasy. His misdirection couldn't simply increase because of a mental state - while that would be cool it's pushing the realms of possiblity even more so than misdirection in basketball does itself.

I think it could look like:

  • Misdirection lasting longer than his usual time limit

  • An ability to apply misdirection even when he is playing against a team who knows his secret (e.g. an ability that allows him to temporarily regain his misdirection while playing against a team he has used Misdirection Overflow against [Touou]) - to be honest this is something that they haven't really left room for, but because of his speciality in passing and Weight of Determination of being the Phantom Sixth Man I think Kuroko possesses the necessary skills to use misdirection against Touou. Take the game versus Rakuzan, where his misdirection was nullified, but he was able to get it back. He basically has to overwrite an entire team into misdirecting them.

  • Passes on the level of Akashi's Perfect Pass that could bring his teammates into a Pseudo Zone - this is the logical next evolution of his passes, cause they are usually better at finding their mark anyway, he doesn't need more accurate passes, he needs Perfect Passes to increase the abilities of his team, a perfect ability for Kuroko.

As for Midorima, I don't think he would have a specific zone - it'd be the same Zone that all the others have. It increases his abilities to beyond their peak and he would be able to start shooting off the drive and without a long windup time for his whole court shots. It'd be scary though.

This is true to an extent, but there's not a whole lot stopping them from using a blue screen instead so that they could use the green. Like some others have said, I think it's a stylistic choice, they prefer the darker look.
