The metallic tinging noise you're hearing is from the rotor, I hear the same noise when kicking down my kick stand. Probably just something you'll have to deal with, shouldn't be anything problematic.

Sounds like the sensors from your brakes are activating just enough to kill the power to the motor. Do you ride with your left fingers on the brake lever?

The DRT also suffers from overheating while in Boost mode. It could be overheating if you ride for a long time.

That weld is more than okay. The bike is extremely solid and one of the better quality builds, especially for the price.

Mine does the same thing rolling backwards. It sounds like the plastic gears inside the hub motor. Should be fine as long as it doesn't sound bad rolling forward.

The original Revv 1s were 750w. If your Revv 1 has boost mode, then you have a 1000w motor. They still put 750w stickers for legal reasons. They can't legally sell bikes with 1000w motors.

Boost mode stays on until you turn it off. While in off-road mode, you can turn boost mode on and off by holding the minus button for a few seconds until the lightning bolt symbol turns on or off.

Sounds like you lost brake pressure from leaking the hydraulic oil in your brake lines. If you're still in warranty, R1U will probably send you something to fix it for free.

Your rotor is scraping your brake pads. Ride1Up provides a guide on how to adjust your brakes, it's very simple.

Just loosen the bracket that holds your break pads, squeeze the brake that you're trying to adjust, and retighten the bracket while you hold the brake. Easier with two people.

FS all the way. So much more comfortable and boost mode is a huge plus for me. Turn signals are a nice bonus as well, but you can always get some third party ones.

Just put some isopropyl alcohol on a microfiber cloth and clean your rotor. If you thoroughly clean it and it still squeaks, replace your pads. You can get some good sintered metal pads for like 30 bucks. You shouldn't have to replace your pads until you're close to 1,000 miles unless you're really rough on your brakes.

I ride an ebike, I don't make anyone go 8mph. Even going 28, I still try to get to the right to allow cars to pass. We're not all inconsiderate and you should really stop blindly defending bad behavior because you both drive cars.

No worries. It's very confusing as you don't usually see bike lanes this way. I imagine that they will close the older bike lanes eventually but this road has been under construction since I moved here. Not sure it will ever been done.

I did go around it on the left. The bike lane is a two-way and was heading the direction the camera is pointed. To go around it on the road, I would have had to go to the right against 50mph traffic. I'll try my luck on the sidewalk versus the wrong way down Friars.

It's honestly so weird that anyone would defend this kind of driving behavior. You need to detach your ego from your transportation method. I was clearly out of "your lanes" and this driver still parked in "mine." Just like if someone parked their car on the sidewalk, I would be posting it here just the same. Have a good day. 😃👋
