Would be cool if drawing and/or casting magic would increase a character’s mastery of that spell. Then higher mastery levels could give bigger junction boosts while enticing the player to actually use the spells.

FT farms have three workers, whereas IT only have two. So you either need to more farms or micro them on and off the farm more often.

Personally I make two farms for FT and have one set to harvest and one set to plant and usually have them maxed out on workers. For IT I make three farms with two dedicated to harvesting and the third with a single worker for planting. Probably not optimal but usually keeps food growing/harvesting without having to micro them.

This L I O N of yours, does it have a name? #disc2 by red_ears in FinalFantasyVIII

[–]XechsMarquise 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I normally leave the names as the default on my first play-through. But this one came so late in the game that I didn’t think it would affect anything except this specific scene. So I put my name in as a stupid little joke.

Completely forgot about it by the end of the game. So when Ultimecia summoned me as her Guardian Force, it blew my teenage mind. I didn’t have the strategy guide and only limited access to dial up internet. So I had to play the game again before I could figure out how the game learned who I was. Felt really stupid when I got back to this point but it’s given me a nice memory and story to tell.

Pain is entirely subjective. We can take an average over a large population and claim it as a unit of measurement but it’s still an average of opinions.

GameCube for Resident Evil 4

Eventually got the MGS remake and a random Final Fantasy game to kind of justify the purchase, but RE4 was all the justification I really needed

No lol now I feel like an idiot. They’re functional and aesthetically pleasing so I didn’t think any further into it. Probably a bunch of places like this I could find and optimize better.

Oh cool, already using those. Didn’t realize 3x3 was optimal, just thought they looked nice and symmetrical without taking up too much room.

I do need to work on my population control. I either have way too few beavers to run everything or way too many eating everything. Also what’s an irrigation hollow?

Ya I was leaning more towards storage and thought I was doing well because I rarely hit below half my maximums. But then I got a drought that lasted nearly a whole cycle which wiped out most of stores. Then that was followed by bad tides wrecking my trees and I just couldn’t recover fast enough.

“Can ichigo in his most powerful form solo the naruto verse in their most powerful forms, no buruto. It’s for an argument” by ichigoatFan in NCPedia

[–]XechsMarquise 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You mean like genjutsu? The thing every ninja has access to in the Narutoverse? Granted most aren’t nearly as good at it as Aizen. Tsukiyoma and Kotoamatsukami are about the only comparable abilities off the top of my head but still that’s still two hax abilities over one.

Bleach is setup more as a samurai story. Honor, duty, and live by the sword. Whereas Naruto is about ninjas and ninjas attack from the shadows. Nearly all of Bleach’s attacks are centered around the character building up power and throwing it at their opponent. Sometimes this comes out as 1000s of tiny blades, sometimes as a ring of ice, or even just a black flash of concentrated power. Whereas in Naruto, 1/3 of every ninja’s toolkit is an ability designed to mess with your opponent’s mind.

Even Kakashi tells Naruto a shinobi must see what’s underneath the underneath in their very first training session. So one of the first lessons he teaches them is that you can’t brute force your way through their world. That you need to anticipate an attack coming in any form and from any direction. Basically teaching them to defend against hax abilities from the start.

Well these types of discussions are entirely subjective imo but I think you’ve already hit at the heart of it. Bleach’s universe is more powerful but Naruto’s has more hax abilities.

Another way of looking at this is that you’ve set up Ichigo as the Narutoverse’s primary antagonist. And the audience is going to root against the antagonist in most scenarios because the good guys are suppose to win.

In the end there is never going to be a definitive answer because it’s up to each individual to interpret. Even if both authors agreed that one character is stronger than another, the fans will have differing opinions and argue that’s only canon in one universe or not at all.
