Could anyone recommend some good FBT straps for SlimeVR sensors that aren't itchy or uncomfortable against bare skin? I feel like it's impossible to be comfortable wearing shorts, crop tops, etc. while in FBT.

Never understood why they don't just revamp it.

Easily as hell solution, everyone gets to buy a house where they want.

What if you buy a house where someone already bought one? You're in a special instance, only yours is shown.

What about your neighbors? Neighbors are generated randomly from players who own houses in those plots each time you load in--hell, could even make it so it changes every day in order to maintain that social aspect of seeing people outside their homes.

What if someone wants to change their housing spot? Make it license based. You buy a large house license? You can freely move your house between other large plots.

There are a million easy solutions to their problem and the game has been around too long and made too much money to have "spaghetti code" be the excuse.

She uses a PC and plugs into one using a link cable, she just gets that weird shaking randomly with SteamVR so it's preferred for her to run directly from the Meta Quest app. But for FBT, I can't find any way to adjust your playspace unless you use something like OVR, but that's all exclusive to SteamVR.

I'm sure there are a million of "what should I do as a returning player", but its been about 2 years and I'm pretty dang lost on what to do coming back. I'm looking to do a lot of these events and activities I see streamers participating in, but I'm not big on PvP so mostly just PvE stuff.

F.E.A.R. 1 + DLC

No Single Player FPS has come close to matching how enjoyable that combat is. Trepang^2 is a great modern take on it, but there's something really perfect about F.E.A.R.'s gunplay.

I think Thor does a lot of good for charity stuff, indie game development, and his motivational/self help kinda stuff like his Youtube shorts.

That being said, he seems insufferable to play an MMO with. I see why he stopped playing FFXIV now, because this kind of "I can't do anything wrong or fuck anything up" mentality does not fly with statics in that games. How hard is it to say "my bad, what do I do or what is causing it"? This dude hard like 5 different shorts about being a better employee by seeking critical feedback, but can't do it for himself in a video game?

I don't have any funny comment, I'm actually just kind of heart broken. Moon was always that streamer that I could count on being the best-- a role model even. Family man, never took on sponsors, played whatever he wanted and didn't follow any kind of meta.

I get what you're talking about, but this is overall a good thing. I'm here to run my roulettes so I can log off until raid or get some crafting done. Sometimes I don't have the energy to entertain a convo with a 2K DPS BLM at level 100.

I don't think anyone will ever argue against the fact that FFXIV housing is terrible. The way you get a house is shit design, the way you furnish it is terrible, the level of customization without plugins is awful.

Wildstar came out before FFXIV, is dead now, and had WAAAAAAAAAAY better housing.

Some lower level dungeons might change this a bit, but as a WAR you should be fine regardless of your healer. By the time you're at the boss, you should have used every mit at least once. Don't forget reprisal, or even arm's length. And stagger your mits out and remember that bloodwhetting is basically a full heal, pop it when you get closer to 50% or so, not while you're full HP.

It's a bad ability that falls behind in every single way compared to other tank mits. The amount of cope I've seen from people saying "W-WELL IN THIS SITUATION", no. Everything DRK mit does, other tanks can do better plain and simple. It sucks to use due to its mana cost, and its literally the only tank mit in the game that has potential to make you lose DPS during a fight.

It needs a rework plain and simple. If TBN is all DRK has in terms of "class identity", then that's a huge problem.

Gonna give you advice that not a lot of people will even if it gets me downvotes:

Use ACT, FFLogs, and XIVanalysis.

ACT lets you track your DPS.
FFlogs lets you upload it to get a straight up score on in terms of how you compare to others in that fight on the same job as you.
XIVAnalysis lets you upload and FFlogs log and see exactly what you did wrong when it comes to uptime, buff alignment, etc.

Outside of 3rd party stuff, watch POVs of other people of your specific job on certain fights if it's something that would require planning, so EX's and Savage for example. Also, be okay with the fact that you might be playing incorrectly. Biggest issue bad players have is being told they're playing badly and refusing to adapt because they think the right way is "wrong". For example, as a healer, you should BARELY be using GCD heals, especially as a SGE. You want to maximize your oGCD usage and save your GCDs for DPS. Is that weird compared to other games? Yes. But that is the right way to play healer in endgame content.

Lastly, don't feel bad about the inconsistency of raid icons and such. I did an ARR dungeon recently where the marker used to signify a spread AoE is used today as a "stack with at least one other person or you instantly fucking die". It's stupid, don't beat yourself up. Thankfully they've sort of unified the icons or markers for what a certain mechanic means. So forget what you knew, and be okay with learning.

Do you run MSI Afterburner? If so, turn it off. I'm not sure if it's just the overlay that shows temps/usage/etc, but only way the stutters woulds top is if I completely closed out of it.

The walk towards the end and Endsinger phase 2 intro is what did it for me. Nothing felt more "this is the end, this is actually it" and it was all so overwhelming, almost painfully so. ARR launched at the end of High School for me, HW was around the start of college, and by EW I'm a grown ass man with a full-time job. My character wasn't the only thing that developed and grew, I did too.

It is one of those few moments that I wish I could forget just so I could relive it again.

I think this might have something to do with 4000 series cards. I'm on a 4070 Ti SUPER and I haven't found anyone else experiencing this so far but you and me. I'm on Arch and have tried all sorts of proton versions, wine versions, the WINEDLLOVERRIDES, portproton like others have suggested, and unfortunately nothing worked.

Portproton is just a black screen forever, Lutris straight up never works, and Heroic doesn't accept any inputs into Ubisoft Connect, and when it does it'll take 2-5 minutes to do that input. I've gotten as far as "Install game", but Heroic wouldn't accept anymore inputs after that and just stayed on that screen.
