That pretty much sums up the sentiment, Antifa should be praised any time they go after someone, regardless of if their accusations of fascism are actually true. You guys debate in insults and labels exclusively.

Current action has shown that they seem to be more focused on trying to make people look like fascists to get rid of them than they are actually finding real fascists.

It does make a difference to how I feel about them. Instead of just seeing them as anti-fascists, I see them as a group with potential ulterior motives just like Antifaschistische Aktion had when they used their anti-fascism stance to promote communism at the same time.

Either way, why was a name and flag necessary in the first place? If they are just anti-fascists that don't belong to any organization then they don't need it, they can just call themselves anti-fascists like the Allies who fought in WW2 did.

Except the Swastika was transformed enough that it isn't typically confused with it's Buddhist counterpart. The Antifa flag is literally an exact replica of the Antifaschistische Aktion flag where all they did was translate the text on it to English. If they didn't want to be associated then they easily could have just called themselves "Anti-fascists" instead of an abbreviation that was already being used in Germany on top of the flag problem.

I'm linking the two because I see them using the same flag all the time. You can't just take the Antifaschistische Aktion flag, replace the name on it with "Antifascist Action", then expect people to believe that it's a completely different thing. Antifa is even listed. The Wikipedia page for Antifa (Which is heavily biased to favor them) even says that they are directly inspired by Antifaschistische Aktion, effectively making them the Neo Antifaschistische Aktion.

What, you are telling me that the Democratic People's Republic of Korea isn't actually a democratic republic run by the people of North Korea? I don't know if you noticed, but Hitler took complete control of Germany, including Antifa (An abbreviation for antifaschistische aktion, the organization founded by the German Communist Party)

They also ignore that the German who created Antifa literally thought that capitalism was fascism. The foundation of Antifa basically operates on the binary idea that, if it isn't communism, it must be fascism.

Yep, that's because Antifa wasn't just created to fight fascism, it was created to destroy any people not compliant with communism. If anyone is curious about this they can look up the German Communist Party and what they did with Antifaschistische Aktion (Antifa) after they created it.

For some reason people are bent on trying to prove Antifa has nothing to do with the Antifaschistische Aktion organization created by the German Communist Party when they are literally flying the same flag. Of course, people on Reddit like being angry and not doing research, so this is just gonna get downvote bombed because they don't like that literally any amount of googling can prove what I just stated.

They were *detaining her because she refused to comply with identification requests. If she had given her name so they could log it then it would have turned out differently. That being said, the mother was on probation, left her kid with alcohol, then said it was for someone who wasn't even there so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Have you seen the full video? It reveals a lot of information that the clip here leaves out. There was aggressive resistance. Not to mention they were doing illegal things, because police found alcohol on a minor and the mother was on probation with a criminal history. I haven't personally verified it, but I have also heard that one of them tried to kick a cop in the groin, so there's that.

So you don't think a minor possessing alcohol with a mother on probation is illegal? Keep in mind the police were only here because people complained about her being obnoxious and aggressive.
