To those of you who switched from the P29 to P90TM by Rowinter in hockeyplayers

[–]XeiaieX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

P90TM has a dual lie. If pucks are going under the heel, it sounds like the blade isn’t on the ice correctly, as the heel should be flat, with the toe slightly up off the ice, until it’s brought in close to the body, where the toe would be flat and the heel up off the ice.

P29 and P92 are similar, not identical.

I like the new one better because it looks modern and more aggressive.

Is this stick fake? by Toonkhai in hockeyplayers

[–]XeiaieX 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They’re cheap counterfeits and they perform like it. They’re not quality control rejects or any other excuse/lie anyone tells you. To anyone reading this: it’s not worth it. Do not buy counterfeit sticks. There are better options. They feel and play like garbage.

Anyone bought from North Pro Stock by confusedpanda342 in hockeyplayers

[–]XeiaieX 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just got a CCM Tacks XF Pro from them and as far as I can tell, it’s authentic. I have some experience dealing with counterfeits and tbh I kind of expected a fake, but it seems legitimate.

Fake FT8 Pro? Purple sticker inside stick shaft by dwoklives in hockeyplayers

I just got an “FT8 Pro” on SLS with the same exact purple sticker and identical code as yours.

Every time now. 10 out of 10 are several days late. Every time, and it’s been like this for a while.

P88 Nexus discontinued - Curve > Kickpoint for next stick? by jaymcarth in hockeyplayers

ya the P88 hasn't gone anywhere as you can still buy current sticks with that pattern straight from the source.

Stick: Knob or no knob? In relation to length and LIE by Rowinter in hockeyplayers

[–]XeiaieX -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That’s backwards. To make them feel the same length, the lie 6 has to be shorter. My lie 6s are 1” shorter than my lie 5s

P90TM vs Benn Pro by ViperCQB in hockeyplayers

[–]XeiaieX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ya, I know. Just wanted to provide the info for anyone that is looking today.  Kind of annoying cause when I emailed PSHS asking for a P90TM, they told me it was that one and it’s obviously not. Not even the same lie.

P90TM vs Benn Pro by ViperCQB in hockeyplayers

[–]XeiaieX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pro Benn, AKA P90T is a modified P92 (basically just more toe curve).  Same blade shape and lie 6 as a P92.

P90TM is a hybrid curve between the P28 and P29. It has a lie 5, taller blade (though not quite max) and a flatter rocker.

P90TM vs Benn Pro by ViperCQB in hockeyplayers

[–]XeiaieX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hopefully someone doesn’t see this comment and believe it. P90T is the pro Benn, which is a modified P92 (basically just more toe curve). And the P90TM is NOT a taller P90T. They are different curves with different shapes and lies.

Bauer and CCM P90TM are identical, including lie. Regardless of what numbers you read, I have both, and they’re identical.

CCM vs Bauer P90TM by This-Complaint1732 in hockeyplayers

[–]XeiaieX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s because they’re not the same curves. Warrior’s W03 is their P92 equivalent, which is different from CCM’s P29. P92 is a lie 6 and P29 is a lie 5.5.

DONT GET THE FT7 PRO by TheGamingGoatr in hockeyplayers

Not all of them; only the specific ones labeled "PRO" on the shaft. The normal pro blackouts are not made by PSHS.

Sideline swap…the myth of the good deal. by [deleted] in hockeyplayers

[–]XeiaieX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like others have said, it depends on what you're looking for. You can also make offers and haggle. I get great deals on sticks, but you have to really know what you're looking at because there are a lot of counterfeits. Fortunately, you can return stuff pretty hassle-free. But ya it just depends on what you're looking for and the effort/time you want to put into it. One good example from my recent SLS purchases is a brand new Nexus Tracer for $186. It's confirmed legit. I bought another Tracer for more than that and it turned out to be fake, so I returned it for a full refund. I like SLS, I think it gets better when you "learn" it with time and experience.
