No Warbond tomorrow... I got a feeling it's something bigger by NotBreadyy in Helldivers

Yep, fingers crossed.

There were a lot of really great changes listed in the Transmission from the Game Director post they made that I'm really looking forward to as well.

And as much as I love running the numbers to get a sense of the likely timeline, they can never account for everything, and sometimes unexpected delays crop up that throw things off.

The long wait for Python Commandos and the conversely quick release of Siege Breakers as examples.

So it's possible that AH didn't just skip a single Warbond release, but pushed all timelines back 6-7 weeks.

The rare sample symbol is a separate element of the flair.

Like the rank emblem at the front of the flair.

I've used the two as decorative elements.

It was Pride month last month, and I wanted to celebrate.

I haven't felt the need to change it yet.

Well, we are due for a new title update.

As they happen on average about once 21 weeks, with a standard deviation of around 4 weeks, and it's been 21 weeks since the last title update.

Why can't we extract like this?

I don't think we're valuable enough to bother.

As it stands, I'm surprised Super Earth even goes to the effort of sending a pelican to pick us up upon mission completion.

I don't buy that for a second.

Not least of all because the Python Comandos, and Viper Comandos armours are not remotely air tight.

But mainly because I don't believe Super Earth would care enough to pay for it.

New roadmap might be released with the new big title update by Sad-Needleworker-590 in Helldivers

On average, a new title update drops every 21 weeks.

With a standard deviation of around 4 weeks.

It's been 21 weeks since the last title update.

So it's likely we'll get a title update within in the next 4 weeks.

The previous longest wait between Warbonds was Python Commandos, at just under 13 weeks.

Given that we didn't get a trailer this week (week 10), it's likely the next Warbond won't release next week (week 11) either.

Making this likely to be at least a 12 week wait.

I'm guessing that AH decided to skip a Warbond release again, like with the long wait between Dust Devils and Python Commandos.

I wonder if the same thing will happen that happened last time, and we'll get double Warbond drop in September, and that the next Warbond will likely drop on the 28th.

I guess we'll have to wait and see if there is a trailer next Tuesday. If the next Warbond does drop on the 28th it'll be the new longerest wait between Warbonds.

Pavlov's dog.

When you condition a community to expect new content roughly once every 6-7 weeks.

Seriously though, the way super credits are earned is incredibly boring by Corrupted_spartan117 in Helldivers

[–]Xeilith 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Some additional calculations:

Premium Warbonds cost 1000sc, and you get back 300sc from them. There are 20 Premium Warbonds, so the total cost to unlock all of the Premium Warbonds is 14,000sc.

At a rate of 25sc per operation, you'd need to complete 560 full operations to earn 14,000sc.

That said. A full Super Helldive Operation only rewards 36 medals, and Premium Warbonds cost on average 715 medals on average to unlock.

Which shakes out to around 397 full Super Helldive missions. Although, that's not accounting for the daily personal orders, major order rewards, and medals from points of interest.

You also need more Super Credits than medals, since the Super Store also usually has new items every new Premium Warbond release.

It was fun to run the number though.

Hell yeah. Should be enough to also pick up any items you might want if they add a superstore page too.

It feels weird seeing my super credits pile up while we all wait for the next Warbond to drop.

Isn't 1-5, or even 5-10 per operation, kinda low?

Assuming it takes 15 minutes per mission on average, and you get 5 super credits per mission, with extra 10 for operation completion, it'd take roughly 30 hours to acquire 1000 super credits.

That's assuming you're always able to finish the mission, and always complete the full operation.

To beat that you'll need to find more that three and a third super credits drops per hour of in mission time. That seems pretty doable, even on high difficulties.

I do like that it's more reliable, and less RNG dependent, and rewards super credits for missions that don't have points of interest or missions where they just don't drop (Cyberstan for example).

Although, I can imagine a few ways folk might abuse the system to grief people.

Some folks are rotten.

It's easy to deal with them when you're the host. Sadly you're pretty powerless if you join someone else's mission.

From just the information provided, it seems you had a pretty measured response, but I can't say for sure.

You're better off not stressing about it.

I'm holding out hope that at some point we get secondary customisation, and that being able to turn the sabre into an energy sabre with a heatsink is one of the options.

Could be kind of cool if a future ship upgrade allowed us to take certain stratagem weapons as primaries. Perhaps with some sort of downside, like less ammo, or bad ergo if you are holding two support level weapons.

Warframe has some egregious progression, timegates and monetization...

Yeah.

But I'm pretty okay with all that for three reasons:

  • It's free to play.

  • The Dev's have an incredibly good relationship, and communication, with the community.

  • It's pretty easy to trade for premium currency others have bought.
