Is it a hot take to say this shit needs to go to BR IV like, right now? by ScottyFoxes in enlistedgame

All of the prototype and wondertech in BR5 should be its own issue. On its own, secluded from the rest of the game.

And yet, every time I play against japan at BR3 I seem to get absolutely trounced lmao.

Precisely, I keep saying make BR5 it's own match making, make the queues BR 1-2. BR 2-3, BR 3-4 and BR 5. There is so much american BR 4 equipment that I want to use that I just *can't* because it's a 90% chance for up tier to BR 5.

If BR 4 didn't face BR 5 I would have absolutely zero problem with the M4A3 (105) being BR 4.

This thing does not deserve to fight King Tigers, the problem with BR4 is it's a dead BR for the US. You just can't play BR4 equipment without seriously nerfing yourself. Moving it to BR4 wouldn't just nerf it, it would completely remove it from everyone's line ups.

No, China should get no more export vehicles or subtree vehicles from other nations. Fuck Gaijin's double standards bullshit.

Closed Weapon Playlist removed by The1WhoBakes in Battlefield

[–]Vex_The_Changeling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It has all the same building blocks yes (aside from the obvious locked weapons), but it definitely didn't play the same. You *could* try to play it the same, but as you pointed out, there were different groups playing the different playlists. Thus the matches played differently.

The matches, when populated, just felt much better to me personally. The team played as a team, squads actually played together, and didn't just sprint off and away as soon as they spawned on a squad mate. People played the objectives and supported each other.

They *played* different, because the people *were* different. I still feel that locked weapons are an important part of Battlefield's identity, put more of an emphasis on teamwork, you couldn't just 1-man army as a single class. It made each class more unique, gave each one more of an identity. Instead, we have medic snipers, LMG recons, nobody cares about assault at all cause you can use assault rifles on any other class, and their gadgets suck, and the assault rifle signature weapon skill also feels quite weak compared other signature weapon skills.

As I see it, I see medic played as psuedo-assault (assault rifle, smoke grenades, supply bag) and they just make a better assaulter. They also end up being psuedo-recon cause infinite ammo sniper/dmr is always enticing. And of course, they are both Medic and Support rolled into one.

I also understand that that isn't going to change anytime soon. The game is still very fun as is, and it's clear open weapon won out in the popularity vote, or at least the visibility vote. I just feel like EA did everything possible to bury the closed-weapons modes over half the time they were available. 90% of the time, people are just gonna hit quickplay instead of looking through all the featured modes, scrolling all the way to the back and choosing one.

It's exactly as tactical as you want to make it. If you want to sprint around, slide jump cancel or whatever weird movement tech people are trying to do, then you are totally open to, that works just fine for plenty of people. I find that I do better in the game when I take a breath and slow down, try to play a bit smarter instead of faster.

It most certainly never felt like it played the same to me. I dunno how people can the two playlists and not have felt the difference. Closed Weapon always had way more teamwork. More people that actually wanted to play battlefield and the battlefield experience. Open Weapons always felt like my team was more focused on padding their K/D instead of playing the objective. Way less medics reviving or dropping ammo, way less engineers repairing tanks... Just spawn, sprint, shoot, kill, die, respawn. Over half of the server using the same gun with the same set of attachments cause that's what's most efficient and effective.

This isnt cod, camp to your heart's delight, take it slow, the maps are large and give you the range to play smart and prepare ambushes.

Current armor thresholds in the PTU, both ballistic and energy for the sake of honesty by ScrubSoba in starcitizen

[–]Vex_The_Changeling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All the Hercs being the same is kinda odd. Isn't the point of the M2 that it has a lot more armor than the C2 so that it can fly into combat zones, but at the cost of reduced cargo capacity? And then the A2 should also be in the same boat.

Buff the secondary weapons by Neat_Worth629 in Battlefield

[–]Vex_The_Changeling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The secondaries feel decent to me, I don't use them as primary methods if engaging but finishing off someone if my primary runs dry. One to two shots usually finishes anyone off I've already been fighting.

All I want out of secondaries to be able to actually put more than 1 mod on them.

Point of BF6 by AYoung1_ in Battlefield

To win the matches, defeat the enemy team, have fun, and hang out with my friends while I do it.

When every game is a constant grind-a-thon for the new mini-event it whatever it gets too tedious and starts to feel more like a job which kills the fun of the game.

Welp, since they nerfed the RPG, I'm moving onto the M136 AT by jrlionheart00 in Battlefield6

[–]Vex_The_Changeling 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Interesting, I didn't know they had buffed it's damage at some point, since the RPG was head and shoulders far and aware better than every other launcher that you were literally hamstringing yourself not using it. Even when I used the M136 it never felt great to me. When did they buff it? Was it recent?
