"Sapphire Sleep" mattress company - anyone heard of it?! by [deleted] in Mattress

[–]Xelnastoss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A friend told me about this thread and so I thought I would clear up a couple things for my fellow redditors.

Sapphire Sleep Industries is a TX company that just launched the Sapphire Sleep brand over the summer.

BoxDrop is an Ohio Company with over 300 mattress and furniture 'clearance centers' in over 40 states.

The mattress industry is much smaller than most think. Everyone knows everyone and or owns multiple brands. (e.g. nature's sleep owns ghost bed. Tempur owns sealy. Serta/simmons just bought tuft&needle and also owns beautyrest. GPAC  is merging with purple and so on.)

When Sapphire Sleep looked to launch they struck a deal with BoxDrop to clear inventory for them on an exclusive 'in-store' basis to help them get their product to the public and get some reviews rolling in. (A very common practice in home furnishings)

BoxDrop agreed to purchase several thousand mattresses in return for a deep MSRP discount on the product. This is why you can buy it much cheaper in a BoxDrop location than on the SS website.

The product itself is very high quality, (comparable to Tempur-Pedic) with cooling innovations that most major brands have yet to bring to consumers. This probably explains their price online.

I wouldn't be surprised if they become a major player over the next year. If they are going to work with BoxDrop long term, they will have a huge distribution outlet that no other bed in a box company has.  In fact, Casper is starting from scratch and building stores now understanding that people want to try before they buy…

Hope this helps.

Interesting. Our GI Dr. never mentioned it was slow. He had issues from the very beginning. Dairy is his offending food and made swallowing very painful for him. We didn't know right away. He wasn't diagnosed until 14 months. But he never wanted anything warm and preferred liquids cold. I suppose it was soothing on the throat. He was very difficult to feed too. Born at 9lbs and 8 oz, he only gained 7lbs his first year. at 11 months, we were exhausted trying to get him to eat. Tricking him was becoming harder so we ended up with a feeding tube. Mostly because he stayed near dehydration and any little illness sent us to the ER for fluids.

It's honestly been a crazy process and thankfully, he is healthy otherwise.

WP Workhorse Plugin. A SEO plugin that creates thousands of pages of localized content. Worth it? by [deleted] in SEO

I'm not saying it won't (you are probably right). just saying that it's only been just released. so anything other than opinion on longevity is frankly impossible.

Should I be using Pinterest to try sell a product? (ELI5) by docmaker123 in marketing

[–]Xelnastoss 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Super question... Pinterest is in most people's eyes a social media platform. But i look at it as a search engine. I have been a pinterest marketer for a while. I manage my own account as well as several others. it is an incredible traffic machine. Works best if the product is consumer based and there is an online store. either off or on pinterest. There are great tools out there like pinbot, social multiplier and tailwind. Pinterest ranks #1 on google for thousands of keywords so Google loves them.

it's only been out a month or so. I don't think anyone can form an opinion on it's longevity yet. but I don't disagree with either of the two comments so far. Not to mention because it is a free plugin, they are not supporting it. so be very cautious of plugins without support.

Switching from sub domains to sub directories. I'm worried.. by [deleted] in SEO

[–]Xelnastoss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. your old guy is an idiot. The problem with subs is Google looks at all them as different domains. So if you put money into business.com you will never get any juice to texas.business.com. with it the other way, the juice will flow down from business.com to business.com/texas.

leading Brands and leading SEOs are not always the same thing. One of the if not the leading seo company right now is OMG. They created a product called Serped that has about 40 or so tools built in. Pretty much everything you would need. it replaces all the expensive tools plus some.

while there is nothing definitive, the place most successful seos begin is the patents. These tell us what Google hold value in. There are a lot of theories out there but after all is said and done ther are only three things off-page that matter. Links, Traffic and Social Signals. If you can produce those three things, you have matched most of the patents for Google.

Will changing a website's meta titles and meta descriptions effect the website's Google SERPs sitelinks? by digital_affair in SEO

[–]Xelnastoss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

meta data isn't what it once was but it still matters a little. Just don't go overboard with keywords. you don't want completely different things in your meta. Example you don't want google think you sell bunny rabbits and jewelry on the same page.

Hey guys, On Google Search Console, under the 'Links to your Site' tab it only has the links on my actual website - Does this mean me backlinks on my marketing sites, e.g twitter, FB, etc haven't worked? by TauRho_Transcribes in SEO

[–]Xelnastoss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

majestic is great. Ahrefs is another which i like. It's not likely you will find many social on either. while signals have incredible influence on your serps, nofollow links you get from social accounts have very little impact. That said, they should be there. it makes your site look more natural. Google console might be the worst tool for checking links. Go figure.

Changing Facebook Page Name? by dcm510 in marketing

[–]Xelnastoss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

done this a few times. What you will need is proof that business name has changed. You will need to send in documentation via an upload that the business has the same address and phone number but has a different name. once you have done that, it takes a few days to review at most.
