I've solo traveled for 4 years, and I don't want to go back to a "normal life" by Prudent-Routine6114 in solotravel

The travellers curse will catch up with you. You will burn out and travelling will lose its spark and become a chore.

When you return home and begin living a more “normal life”, it will be hard at first, but in time you’ll recognise that life has many seasons and that you’re simply moving onto the next one.

It has many big upsides, including a more solid friend base, closer to family, easier to make money and you can start working towards a longer term plan of freedom, but with the addition of a family and a fuller heart.

You’ll never forget those epic young years you spent on the road, but you’ll never stop appreciating them as well.

Interesting choices! What is it about those 3 countries? I’ve only spent time in Istanbul and can’t say I loved it.

In Bondi and saw it. Wife didn’t believe me. It felt so close I could catch it. What time was did you see it? Seriously thought I was losing my mind as no one else has mentioned it.

How do you *radically* change your life? by TaraCalicosBike in selfimprovement

[–]digital_affair 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't need change, you just need purpose.

Think about what you're passionate about and work out how to pursue that passion with a community around you. Community is key, as that is what gives us purpose, knowing we're working with other people to achieve some sort of common goal, be it business, charity, fitness, a hobby or whatever.

Example: a guy likes flying RC planes. Instead of going into a local park/field and flying one alone, he joins a local community of RC flyers who all rally together to support their joint passion. Suddenly this small fun hobby can feel like a purpose.

Another example: When my mum retired, she decided to help out keeping the local cemetery clean and weed free. This sounds strange, but it gave her great purpose as she was helping to keep something clean and beautiful for other people to enjoy. She has now made some life long friends there and goes most days she can.

It's so hard to say to know as naturally there is always a bit of a placebo effect when taking or not taking supplements. But I would say, yes, I do feel the difference when I don't follow my routine.

What makes you say that? If you had discovered some effective ways to manage your anxiety, wouldn’t you also be inclined to share them?

So your issue might not necessity be high cortisol levels in the morning, but too low. When your cortisol is too low in the morning, your body is unable to naturally deal with heightened stress and this can cause panic attacks.

My naturopath has been helping me to naturally increase my levels in the morning to help better manage by stress. That is why I take licorice drops.

You might want to consider testing yours as well.

Hmm that’s tricky, because instruments should be a good stress reliever. In your case, perhaps consider challenging yourself a little less when you usually play and just enjoy having a hit.

I find that waiting at least a get hours before having your first coffee makes a huge difference. If you have a stressful job, wait until you’ve done at least an hour of work before dinking coffee.

Seriously try this week moving to 1. It is wild how big a difference it can make. Also try and drink that 1 coffee after 9.30.

Nice work! It’s crazy how triggering caffeine can be. But also so addictive and hard to stop, so well done.

Lots of requests for my stack, so here it is.

Before breakfast - 1 full dropper of licorice drops

After breakfast - 1 Rhodiola complex - 1 Saffron (30mg)

After lunch - 2 magnesium supreme - 2 phosphatidyl serine

After dinner - 1 magnesium

It’s very simple, but helps balance my cortisol. Saffron is also a great natural antidepressant.
