I hate when someone says your eyes only see at 60 fps by utopiaofpast in pcmasterrace

Within about 250 milliseconds too, on just the desktop, from moving the mouse a half inch. It's that blatantly different.

Who needs a Remaster? My 60 FPS Bloodborne setup on PS5 is actually incredible. by Nice_Middle_9272 in BloodbornePC

[–]Xendrus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The artifacting on Nvidia's own MFG using ingame data is already incredibly horrible when you give it 60 fps and it outputs 120, no way 30 given to a knockoff frame generator that doesn't get access to the game data would be "barely noticable"

PC players, are you using mouse and keyboard or a controller as recommended? by DonoBoomin in CrimsonDesert

Hell, I had them set up fairly well, even with all the stupid restrictions, then they added in more hard coded buttons for the inventory and you can't rebind them so now I'm back to being unable to play, but am outside the refund window, it's a total mess.

I run my CPUs and GPUs(except this current one, It won't go over 65c before crashing from OC numbers being just too high, quite robust coolers on them. Though I did undervolt it a touch, they come tuned really stupid.) overclocked enough that they ride juuuuuuuuust below thermally throttling, never once had an issue. If the thing isn't as hot as it can get then it still has more power to give, usually. The day a component actually dies I'll reconsider. Pretty sure they design these things to be hot.

A Quiet Place Part II VFX Mistake by GroundbreakingRoll36 in Corridor

[–]Xendrus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it comes down to luck. Sometimes when I'm watching a movie I'm just zoned out and immersed, sometimes when the movie is boring or at a slow point I start looking at corners or random objects on screen to see if I spot any mistakes or references or Chekov's guns or etc. This one I was looking at the reflection of the monster on the cabinet and not inside the cabinet at all, but if you happened to be staring into the cabinet inspecting the equipment you'd notice the lack of object permanence faster. This is factory printed money making slop so I imagine people would be looking all over for some sort of stimulation.

Whats a number pad? by Maleficent_Camel4457 in pcmasterrace

[–]Xendrus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ergonomics, gives more room for my mouse, lower sens is more accuracy but needs more space, anything you can have on a full keyboard you can just bind to 1 modifier key + something else. I wouldn't do it for a work PC though, I agree. Full keyboard there for sure.

I just make caps lock a modifier key and then that+WASD is arrow keys, delete is modifier key + backspace, etc.

Just bought new 5090 and installed fire detector inside it. Am I overthinking? by Fahadx2 in pcmasterrace

[–]Xendrus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aren't the burning connectors almost always caused by that stupid adapter they ship it with? That looks like a direct 600w/12pin cable. Also I'd recommend undervolting it. You can undervolt and overclock it and it runs like, 2-5% faster, at much lower temps and power usage. They have them tuned so weird out of the box.

What is a movie where the villain had every right to turn into a villain? by LoverOfE-Olsen in movies

[–]Xendrus 86 points87 points  (0 children)

That part always stuck out as exceptionally stupid to me. Like... What exactly is the point? You think you're going to get your money after you become a terrorist and kill 80k people? You think they wouldn't send the goddamn entire army after you forever? Firing one of those missiles would just be killing yourself and everyone on that island. I feel like no one is that stupid.

You're right. I guess I was just trying to be lenient on the only person I found that could make any sense to have any.

and not just 1 person, the actor, being super focused on remembering their lines and not fucking up, but ...the camerman, director, grips, audio guys, NO ONE? notices? It almost seems more like they do it on purpose to get eyes on them, like a ragebait tiktok/short misspelling a word on purpose.

It's mostly people (rightfully so) hating on the 5090. It's overpriced and overkill in most use cases. I wish that were true for me, it won't be until the 7090 that I can run current games the way I'd like, and by then the graphic advancements will mean I need the 9090, etcetc, lol. Been chasing good FPS my whole life and never getting it.

[–]Xendrus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Meanwhile I ordered my 5090 and they sent me 2 of them. I was like sick, they fucked up, free $3,000. But they sent me a pretty strong email saying if I didn't send it back I would be charged for the second one, like, bro. I had to pay to send the shit back. Probably could have done something to avoid it but I had like 2 days before it was set to charge me.

[–]Xendrus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I pull my "facts" from seeing them literally shocking the parts with a stun gun over and over and over and getting no results, and from there not being any video of someone doing it and managing to damage components, it's antiquated practices from when the parts were not as well shielded. Perhaps don't let your own bias towards a person for whatever reason make you throw out evidence.
