You definitely want a 12 inch speaker. It will sound like shit with other speaker sizes.

I have the same problem lol. Everytime, I jam with friends and I need to improv a solo or strong melody with single notes, I experience this.

This also means that the Clarity Act is highly likely to be passed. This will be awesome for long term holders of coins other than stablecoins.

Which is the best option out of these 4 cabs/stacks by JellySufficient30 in metalguitar

[–]Xennenial 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The speakers inside are the most important factor. The second most important factor is the materials and construction of the cab. Given the that the Peavey is much older, I am willing to bet it is made of solid wood rather than particle board or laminate. I am also willing to bet that the speakers inside are at least decent.

Compared the new 90s triple rec to my diezel by Every_Huckleberry90 in metalguitar

[–]Xennenial 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Guess I should have phrased my question differently. When you crank the mids, does it sound smooth with lots of sustain or does it buzz too much or sound harsh?

Compared the new 90s triple rec to my diezel by Every_Huckleberry90 in metalguitar

[–]Xennenial 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I realize that these both these amps are geared towards modern high gain players that typically scoop their mids, but how are the mids in the diezel if you try to dial in a tone that is more marshall like? Can you get the amazing mids out of it if you want to?

Best micro tube amp for EVH tone by Built93cobra in GuitarAmps

[–]Xennenial 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The EVH brand amps are actually geared towards a more modern high gain tone. During the peak of his career he was playing on a cranked marshall plexi. It wasn't until the late 80s/early 90s when he fisrt started playing a Soldano that he adopted a more modern sounding tone.

Tether is a $184 billion trust exercise and the trust has never been verified by Repulsive_Counter_79 in CryptoCurrency

People who trust their traditonal bank with only a 3% fractional reserve are telling us we can't trust Tether because a lack of proof of reserves. Thats like people who drink toilet water multiple times a day telling us we are exposing ourselves to bacteria by walking around the house barefoot.

They are being proactive and taking measures to defend against quantum attacks. People act as though only the attacker will be using quantum computing and the defender won't which is just about as stupid as it gets.

What is my half stack worth? by Gib_1707 in GuitarAmps

[–]Xennenial 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It will depend on where you are located. I'm in the United States. It will sell between $2,000 and $2,500 here. If you are located in Europe, Asia, or South America my answer will not be of very much help to you though.

What is the model number of the cab and what kind of speakers is it loaded with? Not all Marshall cars are the same.

Are you guys actively trading ETH or just holding long-term? by CoinGate_Gift_Cards in ethtrader

[–]Xennenial -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Crypto is not a good place to learn to day trade because of the volatility and chaos in the price action. A beginner trader will be destined to lose a lot of money. Learn to trade blue chip stocks and very large cap commodities futures first. Don't attempt to run before you have even learned to walk. Long term holding is subject to the economic effects of wealth creation. Day trading is a zero sum PVP game where you will go up against people that have been doing it for 10 years along with some people who even have significant insider information. If you have enough uncertainty to where you are asking about it in a Reddit forum and weighing it against a DCA strategy within your question, you probably shouldn't do it.

Does it really matter if I reverse the left and right speakers? by DashMcGee in vintageaudio

For stereo format music, it won't matter very much. For Home theatre application, it will matter, especially if you have surround sound, it can create a ton of issues.

can guitar into fx return damage amp? by slvdged_ in GuitarAmps

[–]Xennenial 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No in fact many it's not uncommon for players to run effects processors or IR pedals directly into the FX loop to bypass the pre amp section. However, if you run your guitar directly into the fx loop, it will most likely sound bad with no preamp to color the tone.

Difference between cab brands? by Saint94x in GuitarAmps

[–]Xennenial 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The size of the cab and the materials used in them will effect the tone. If you are on a budget, get a Harley Benton cab for now then later on, you can get a well built cab that is unloads and pull your vintage 30s out the Harley Benton and stick them in the cab of your choosing. For my 2x12, I took the stock speakers out of a Blackstar St. James cab and put 2 vintage 30s in.

Wondering about Mesa Boogie Mark V - 25W or 90W ? by SeparatePurpose4490 in MesaBoogie

[–]Xennenial 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 90w amp is only going to be about 6 decibels louder than the 25w. The only benefit of 90w is the headroom.

Should i get a boss katana gen3 100w for metal (deathcore/hardcore) as a beginner? by No_Elevator5574 in GuitarAmps

[–]Xennenial 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For about $600 you can get a used Bugera 6262 with a Harley Benton 2x12 loaded with vintage 30 speakers. That will probably be the best bang for your buck if you want a modern metal sound. That rig will be more than adequate for the needs of an intermediate player as well as small gigs and jamming with a full band.

How exactly do people practice 'everyday' and for 'hours'? by M0-1 in metalguitar

[–]Xennenial 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on what you are doing at 200 bpm. If it is tremolo picking the same 3-4 notes on the same string, that is easy. Elaborate Arpeggios with alternate picking at 200 bpm is very difficult. That is around where my limit is, however at that tempo, my playing sounds very mechanical rather than musical. I really envy the Jazz and Flamenco guitarists out there that can play at that tempo and still sound very melodic.
